Help..With setting up Roundcube.....Permission Issues??? / Where???

Hello! I'm having issues with the webmail, I want to know if it's some permission related issue. The buttons in the mail interface like Send / Compose / Delete / etc... will not excute or anything. So I'm thinking it is Permission related just like with the images not showing which I fixed by setting the permissions correctly... Now I'm trying to figure out where excatly these buttons are located in the webpackage so I can set permissions on these folders. I can't pin point the location with the link that these command / buttons show.. Please help me out ;-) Nice job by the way!! Best sleek looking webmail interface!! Cheers! If this folder doesn't exist, the system will be unable to delete messages, so they won't dissappear. Deleting in RoundCube actually moves messages to the folder specified above. On the 'todo' list is a way to empty trash / purge messages / etc. HTH. UTF-8 for I18N

Hello, Like many of other people, I found this today, installed without any hassle, and just worked great with BincIMAP's IMAPdir. Thanks a lot for your great work! Now, my question is, do you have any plan to go with UTF-8 soon? L10N shouldn't be primary issue but I18N. People can somehow live without L10N as long as it works. But it will never work for some people without I18N. For instance, I don't care the language of UI but roundcube doesn't handle Japanese in subject and body properly at all. If it would use UTF-8 rather than any of SBCS, it would be very easy to hack and contribute so that many languages could be easily supported by people around world, I supposed :-) Thanks, -- Hiroshima

MySQL folder caching

Something that is worth mentioning in the documentation is that MySQL is configured on many machines to default to a maximum query size (max_allowed_packet) of 1M. With approximately 1600 messages in my inbox, the attempt to generate a cache of the INBOX folder (a 1.2 MB query) threw unknown errors: DB Error: unknown error in /www/roundcubemail/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 124 The resolution is simple enough: In the [mysqld] section of my.cnf, change the max_allowed_packet to a larger value: set-variable = max_allowed_packet=16M cheers, Shaun Walbridge

problems with IMAP SSL

I am trying to set up roundcube. Everything seems to go well until I try and login. I am using secure imap (port 993). When I do what the config file says (i.e. ssl://localhost:993). I try and login through the web interface and it hangs forever. I know the username and password I am using works, because I am using through thunderbird. Is anyone else having this problem? Nicholas

any interest in a file based prefs storage mechanism?

howdy, i'm working on adding the ability to save user prefs and identities to file rather than to a db with roundcube. if there's interest in adding this functionality to the roundcube core, i'm happy to submit patches and take feedback on making the changes fit with the application as a whole. same goes for pgp. cheers, justin

mysql install problems continue

Previously I had the following issue: I have created a mysql database named xyz and a user named xyz_user so what exactly should this line be in db.inc.php? $rcmail_config['mysql'] = 'mysql://xyz_user@localhost/xyz'; That doesn't seem to work for some reason. I keep getting the following errors: *DB Error in /home/xyz/public_html/roundmail/program/include/rcube_db.inc (63):* DB Error: not found *Fatal error*: Call to undefined function: query() in */home/xyz/public_html/roundmail/program/include/rcube_db.inc* on line *119 Now it looks like the problem was with not having pear set up. Since I am on a shared server I had to install PEAR in my home folder. I did that successfully, I think, but now I get the following error. *Fatal error*: Cannot redeclare class db in */usr/lib/php/DB.php* on line *271* I added this to index.php but I don't think that's working out. ini_set("include_path", 'public_html/pear/PEAR/' . PATH_SEPARATOR . ini_get("include_path")); require_once '/home/xyz/public_html/pear/PEAR/DB.php'; Any more ideas from anyone? This is a really slick app. I can't wait for it to work. Mike
