Goodbye Subversion, hello github

Hello folks Upon several requests from our community we now moved the Roundcube Webmail source code repository from our privately hosted Subversion server to github. With this step we hope to make it easier for anybody to get the source and to contribute patches and improvements. So everybody who was fulling bleeding edge updates from svn.roundcube.net, please visit https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail and clone the repository. We're happy to get your pull requests. For bug reports and feature requests please still use or trac platform at http://trac.roundcube.net. The new git repository is also mirrored there but we're still fighting with some configuration and performance issues there. Thanks for your understanding. Best, Thomas

Switching to github

Hello devs and list lurkers As a result of many requests and previous discussion we're about to migrate your privately hosted Subversion repository to github. The trac platform will remain for tickets, planning and documentation but with the move to github we hope to make it easier to contribute. I meanwhile have put together a script to handle the migration and the switch will take place on next Friday, May 4th 2012. Those having write permissions to our SVN are kindly requested to commit their stuff until 12:00h CET on that day. Afterwards we'll start the migration. The SVN repository will remain active for a while but you won't see any updates on it. You'll be informed once the github repository is ready and we'll also document it on our website and the trac wiki. Have a good one, Thomas

opera bug?

Could someone try to reproduce a bug ive been seeing with Opera. Im getting customer reports and i can reproduce it myself. Start a compose in Opera, and then copy some text from someplace. Now paste this into the compose editor in HTML Mode. If I do this a few times, and clear the editor a few times, eventually the whole editor locks up and I cant paste anymore. It seems to happen around the first draft save, but that could be a coincidence. I am running the very latest 0.7.2-svn Cor

Hey all, what are the plans with the old skin once the new skin is in use in 0.8? Will the old skin remain to be supported, or should be aim on moving to the new skin before say 0.9? Regards, Cor

Has it ever been considered to allow people to edit raw sieve script through the managesieve plugin? What I see is that most people can use the nice UI to express almost all rules they need, but sometimes a match cant be made using the UI. These people then switch away from roundcube as their sieve client because they have no choice, even though they for instance only need 1 rule out of many to be manually editted. Just as an example, it would be nice if people could use the variable extension to create matches. Something like: if header :matches "List-ID" "*<*@*" { fileinto "Lists/${2}"; stop; } Id be fine if people had to create such a rule manually, but then managesieve would have to allow adding manual rules. Translation and Update of RC Documentation in Trac

Hi I started the study the code of RC and i tried to use the documentation in Trac, about API, Plugins and Themes. My first ask is if there docs are updated. Can i use then to study and get results or are outdated? To understand and with the idea of to bring more volunteers to code (or trough plugins, or trough core contribs), i tried to create a new page called Doc_Plugins/pt-br, where it is the translation of Doc_Plugins (logicly), but i haven't permission to do this. Can i get permission to create pages in the Trac? Best, Claudio

Troubles in development of some functionalities

Hello, I started to study RC code but im having some troubles to understand some functionalities. I'm currently working with Claudio Filho and we aim to improve the calendar plugin. For now I need some help in how to reuse the autocomplete function of the composeHeader object (like in the "to" field of the compose page) in order to retrieve contacts of the ldap in the calendar plugin context. Translation of main pages

Hi In the same way of Trac, i ask too about the main site. Do you have interesting in translate for other languages? I explain my interesting in this questions, to try give my viewpoint about this question. I really liked of RC's purpose because i searched by years a good and intuitive webmail. I used since squirrelmail, after aloha, and i found RC when you started this project. In there time, i was very busy with OpenOffice.org project, translating and promoting this product in my country. Today, i continue helping in Apache OpenOffice and Debian, where have this concern in involve new users, volunteers and promoting the product. Returning to point, the main page for this two projects, are scripts that build the pages, where the sources are txt files easily translatable, and using the httpd negociation to present the content in the native language of user that is browsing the pages, or english, if haven't in his language. I think that a good strategy for RC, including respect for potencial users and volunteers. What you think? If you have interesting, i can do a proof of concept and present. Best, Claudio

Vacation plugin help needed

Greetings, all. Since I expect that 0.8 will be released in a couple of months, I've been doing testing with both the beta and a current svn. Since my organization plans to cut directly to the new larry skin (not offer the default at all), one of my focus points has been on plugin compatibility with larry. And I've encountered a problem with the vacation plugin we use. There are currently two vacation plugins for RC. https://github.com/bhuisgen/rc-vacation/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/rcubevacation/ The first seems to be better supported, and appears to be "larry-ready" now. But our environment requires the vacation files to be written to the remote mail server via FTP, so we have been using the other plugin in production. The problem is that the second plugin is definitely not happy with larry, and will need some css/html re-write to work properly. I've left a comment on the support forum for rcubevacation, but there has been no response for over a month and I fear that the developer is no longer maintaining that plugin. So I need one of two things, neither of which I have time or skills to do myself. I either need someone to make rcubevacation display properly with larry, or I need an FTP driver for the rc-vacation plugin. I'm not certain which is the simpler task, I've mucked about a bit with both options with limited success.
