I was wondering if any one has a full system working with imap server + smtp server + roundcube (including virtual domains)

for examples: dovecout / courier + postfix + roundcube.

allthough i have no howto at hand (i do not remember where i took my setup from), i'm still able to help you with specific problems.

my setup includes:

• mysql
• courier-imap
• postfix (incl. saslauthd for sending)

i use roundcube for my personal email checking. our customers still use another client until roundcube reaches a certain stable level.

well, everyone running roundcube id imagine has imap+smtp running.

ive personally configured multiple mail setups being:

• postfix+dovecot
• postfix+mysql(virtual)+courier(pop/imap)

im currently running

• qmail(smtp/pop3)+bincimap

but not using any other packages for virtual domains.

an easy to follow guide can be found at http://high5.net for setting up postfix+mysql+courier. or lifewithqmail.org (or qmailrocks.net but shunned by the wide qmail community) for setting up qmail (less imap)

It's a step-by-step guide to getting qmail, Clam AV, SpamAssassin, Courier-IMAP and a few bells and whistles running on various OSes (various flavours of Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris), including virtual domains, filtering, mailing lists and webmail (it uses SquirrelMail, but you can skip that and just plonk RoundCube on instead). It's pretty comprehensive - I wish I'd had it to hand when I first started with qmail.
