Michael, I'm actually using Courier-Imap, the capabilities it prints are as follows:
THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION STARTTLS cp01 OK CAPABILITY completed Tried PLAIN: Resource id #23
When I try it against my work e-mail, I get
cp01 OK CAPABILITY completed Trying CRAM-MD5 + PDkzNTMuODE1NzIxNzFAc214dHJpby1jdGMwMT4= Got challenge: + PDkzNTMuODE1NzIxNzFAc214dHJpby1jdGMwMT4= Tried CRAM-MD5: Resource id #23
Unfortunately, I don't know what IMAP server we use. I can find out on monday.

Can you tell me what version of IMAP-UW you are running and also what it prints as capabilities?
I've found one binary on a old machine that RoundCube works againsts - just trying to narrow this down a bit.
Thanks!

Maildir has been running fine on my system for over a year, so I don't thing we were having the same issue. I can log in via IMAP fine using other clients, have no problems there. I don't think we're having the same issue. Thank you.

Could you be a little more specific about how you fixed
this issue? Thank

Pretty much, i created ~/Maildir, sent myself a mail, this populated the directory, and changed, mmm, I think I didnt change anythig on config, I just checked.
Maildir is configurable, check your mail daemon config if doesnt work.
