hello,
another question: there is a RC system, with 200 users, but in config "auto_create_user" sets to FALSE. that mean, only registered users can login.
But, in this case all users have to check explicit imap folders, what want to see.
How can i set up this, so users don't need to select folders, all folders are active default?
thanks:
a.

This would be down to the IMAP server and setting the "subscribed" folders. Unfortunately, each server is different.

no, I think, the correct answer is no.
in case of most MUA, user selects, which folders what does it want to see (OE, Thunderbird, etc...)
and other way, most IMAP servers doesn't contains any option to controll it.
If you use RC with MySQL, please look at the 'cache' table - there can be find any information for store of subscribed folders - if I think right :)
Unfortunately, each server is different.
I use Courier-IMAP - any suggestion about this?
thank you:

sorry, this wouldn't be the correct answer :)

this would be right - IMAP servers doesn't contain any option to controll it, they just have any method to _store_ the subscribed folders.
Unfortunately, each server is different.

Courier-IMAP stores this information in a simple file, called by $HOME/courierimapsubscribed. Example for its contains:
INBOX.Sent INBOX.Trash
thank you, and sorry for my previous post,

Yes, the user can select it through the MUA, but it is actually remembered by the server. All 5 mail clients I use (thunderbird, squirrelmail, roundcube, outlook express AND outlook all share exactly what folders I subscribe to in the other clients.

[dean@bob mail]$ l. imap .subscriptions .subscriptions.bak
The .subscriptions file is where dovecot keeps its list, UWIMAPd use ~/.folderlist I think.

Yes, that is Roundcubes cache of the messages.

Nope, I'm a dovecot user.
