I discover a bug involving translation files:
When the variable: $labels['compact'] is provided in the tranlation file labels.inc then the following $labels['empty'] and his link are not displayed anymore
Please could you correct this ?
Thanx a lot.

This is not necessarily a bug. One could use the label 'empty' within the skin to name this action. Depending on which mail app you're using you will discover different names for the function that is executed as the EXPUNGE command on the server. I decided to keep both labels in the localization files.

P.S. Do you have magic_quotes enabled in your PHP installation? The latest CVS version of RoundCube tries to disable it using ini_set() but does not seem to work.

Try checking for magic_quotes_gpc. (http://de3.php.net/manual/en/ref.info.php#ini.magic-quotes-gpc)
Mabye using: get_magic_quotes_gpc() and then output a warning or an error.
There is no reason to activate magic_quotes anyway.
Kind regards

Thanks! I think RoundCube should check this and then convert POST input accordingly before sending a message.

Right. Before, there was stripslashes() executed for the message body but that stripped off "wanted" slashes on systems that had not enabled magic-quotes.

Except it being on by default on a lot of systems (including mine as I haven't been bothered to correct it yet)
I noticed my logs/error file was over 1M so I thought I'd take a look. I get the following error over and over, since Jan 25th until now:
[25-Jan-2006 11:13:49 -0600] DB Error: DB Error: no such field Query: INSERT INTO messages (user_id, del, cache_key, created, idx, uid, subject, from
, to
, cc, date, size, headers) VALUES ('1', 0, 'Lists.Roundcubemsg', now(), '679', '744', 'Re: bug perhaps ...', 'Thomas Bruederli roundcube@gmail.com', 'RoundCube Dev dev@lists.roundcube.net', 'info@schroth.nl', FROM_UNIXTIME(1138229336), 4547, 'O:14:\"iilbasicheader\":24:{s:2:\"id\";s:3:\"679\";s:3:\"uid\";s:3:\"744\";s:7:\"subject\";s:19:\"Re: bug perhaps ...\";s:4:\"from\";s:38:\"Thomas Bruederli <roundcube@gmail.com in /usr/local/www/data-dist/roundcubemail/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 427
As you can see I'm closing in on 2000 of these errors: [11:21:52] [root@pepe ../data-dist/roundcubemail]# grep "on line 427" logs/errors | wc -l 1941
So I'm obviously missing a field; what's the best way to fix this? I'm not adverse to dumping the db and starting over, but I have all of my contacts in there. If I can drop the db, recreate and then import my contacts I'd be fine with that, but anyone have any docs or hints to accomplish this?
Thanks

line that snuck in there when we weren't looking. I ran into this problem a bit ago. It apparently doesn't cause any problems with it missing, though I didn't look into what it does.

Andrè This fixes it, thank you. I didn't refer to those updates ever, but since I"m pulling CVS nightly I'm bound to need them.
