The skin is pretty bland, but it's the ads and clutter that drive me nuts. Still, I guess it's nice that they recognized a great web app. Are they actively developing it Thomas, or just waiting on you? Seeing all the ad revenue they're going to get it would be nice if they could give back.
Their site does not work in Konqueror - I get constant refreshes of the whole page. I do not recall having that effect on the RC demo site.

Speaking of 30gigs.com, I've been asked to help make it scale - hence it's moving into a hub-and-spoke model (partitions for scalability).
I've asked the owners if they are giving back to the roundcube developers, they said that they were, but from the comments here - that might not be true.
Personally, here are my plans

Maybe I missed something but the only messages I've got from 30gigs are the following posts: http://lists.dorkzilla.org/archive/roundcube-dev/2005Oct/0396.html http://lists.dorkzilla.org/archive/roundcube-dev/2005Oct/0398.html

Sounds interesting. Unfortunately I'm not a "professional" developer and RoundCube might have some essential lacks in it's architecture to work in a large scale environment. Any suggestions on this are appreciated.
- Modify parts of round cube and make it LDAP aware to support above.
I'll be more than happy to give it back to the roundcube developers.
I guess you mean an LDAP based authorization system? There was already someone working on an LDAP implementation for the address book but this has not been brought to an end yet.
- Will take a look at the php backend used by roundcube, and will see and
decide if I want to rewrite it in Java and use a distributed-cache / replicated cache (eq. Tangosol Coherence, or for something free and cheap
- the Jboss TreeCache), coupled with a cache-loader, and write back cache
support - will allow it to scale better horizontally. The app IMHO just from looking at itis too DB centric, it's hard to scale a vertical resource.
As mentioned above: any suggestions about database/storage/structure are welcome...
