honestly, i would consider this an urgent update. but maybe its only my php version, that is broken.

I replied on the ticket. Can you include some steps? I see what you changed, etc. but this line is not an issue here.
Also, 5.0.5 is really, really old and generally PHP5 !== PHP5. I'd aim for a 5.1.x minimum. Even Debian should have those?
