I narrowed the problem down a little further. I successfully was able to read an eml attachment that was sent from google webmail.
but when I send from a standalone outlook express client the same attachment is not readable.
Thanks, Jason Levine

I don't seem to be making any headwinds into the mysterious eml files are unreadable error. Do you have any suggestions on where I might start looking. I keep thinking it is a MIME error, but I don't see anything wrong.
Thanks, Jason

Hi list,
I have the same problem with rc 0.1.1 stable. When I try to open such an email, I 'm granted the blank php error page. In the log I have:
[Wed Jun 04 13:37:42 2008] [error] [client a.b.c.d] PHP Fatal error:
Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72
bytes) in /rcroot/program/include/main.inc on line 320
I have "memory_limit = 50M" in php.ini ; but if I put 100M or whatever more, the error is still the same.
In thunderbird the message appear to have three attachments: one .msg, one.eml and one .doc (which weight 300kB).
In squirrelmail the message open fine with the same configuration.
Regards, kfx

The suggested way of reporting those mishaps is here: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Howto_ReportIssues
It would be nice if one of you opens an issue and the other one adds to it.
(Make sure to supply an example source (of the message) along with the ticket. The more the merrier!)

I did submit it in April here : http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1485019 I don't seem to be getting anywhere....

As I said, and also as Thomas requested, please add the message source as an attachment, or upload to http://testing.roundcube.net and let us know your upload id on the ticket.

OK..The message source is now on the ticket as a file attachment and not just plain source.
