A simple Roundcube setup issue

Hi: I have installed Roundcube V.0.9.0 on an OSX Server running OSX 10.8.4. Roundcube is the webmail front-end to Postfix/Dovecot. Everything is working perfectly except for one thing. When an email is received which contains an image file attached, the image is replaced with a pink box in the Roundcube interface. The pink box is a gif file, and seems to be a place holder replacing the original image. This behavior is observed in all browsers: Safari, Chrome, and Firefox running under OSX and also by Internet Explorer running under Windows 8. If I bring up the same email in a regular mailer, like OSX Mail, or Thunderbird, the images display correctly the way they were sent. I have a TZ215 firewall and virus/trojan scanner, as well as additional virus scanning on the server protecting emails/images/attachments, so, having little or no concern for maleware I have set Roundcube's user preferences in Settings ==> Displaying Messages ==> Display Remote Images ==> to Always. That setting should allow Roundcube to properly display whatever image is received, but it doesn't. When I look at the raw email, I see a properly encoded email with mime-encoded attachments. Where in Roundcube's internals can I turn off/change this aberrant behavior? Problem with scroll (RC 0.9.2) and Android?

Hi, I just upgraded to 0.9.2 and since then Roundcube users fail to properly use webmail (especially scroll function) with their smartphone. With previous (0.8.5) version I had no problem. Any suggestion? Thank you!

Square parenthesis in folder names

Hi, I have a user with [Square parentesis] in IMAP folder names The IMAP server is the latest Dovecot. With Thunderbird the user is able to see the folders. With Roundcube he does not see the folders in the folder lists or in the folder he can subscribe. Special Characters help

In many of my emails I need to use characters which are not on my keyboard such as currency symbols other than $. How do I do this? Nicholas Brown

Displaying folder names in dependence of splitter position

Until a few days/weeks ago, 0.9 stable and 1.0-git behaved different in the following respect: 0.9.x: ------ When moving the vertical splitter to the left, so that the folder names couldn't be fully displayed anymore, the folder names have been shortened such as "debian-sec...announce (524)". 1.0-git: -------- When moving the vertical splitter to the left, so that the folder names couldn't be fully displayed anymore, the folder names have NOT been shortened but e.g. being displayed as "debian-security-anno" (the most right part of the folder name being truncated in the display). Today, both versions (0.9.2 [GIT 20130630.1129] and 1.0-git [GIT 20130701.1430]) behave the same as described under "1.0-git" above (folder name being truncated rather than shortened). Unable to set Sent folder to "INBOX"

One of my users noticed that while "INBOX" appears in the list of mailboxes listed under: Settings => Preferences => Special Folders => Sent it is not possible to select that folder for sent messages. Any attempt to do do ends up with the empty value "---". I have pointed the user in question at Settings => Composing Messages => Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to but that isn't quite what they are looking for: they want incoming and outgoing email in a single mailbox (this is a shared account). This is with Roundcube 0.9.2, although I don't think that is particularly significant. Installing 0.9.2

Blank Page on /install/ - Can't Figure It Out

Hi list, I'm having a tough time getting roundcube to work. Here's the software I'm using, and the versions: FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE-p3 nginx/1.4.1 PHP 5.4.16 (php-fpm via fastcgi) (all my extensions are listed below) So here's the problem. All my php scripts work elsewhere. I even created a new index.php inside roundcube's dir with "echo 'hello world';" to confirm php is working - and it is. When I browse to /installer/, I get a blank page. Absolutely nothing in my nginx error log, php-fpm log, or php error log. I even tested the php error log by calling error_log("Testing") manually and checking the file to make sure it logged the test. I'm sorry I don't have more information to provide - that's the whole reason it's bugging me. It's just silently failing. I went through the roundcube requirements list: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Howto_Requirements and made sure my php.ini settings are correct. I also tried copying the default php.ini-production and php.ini-development files over to no avail. It's just....silently failing for no detectable reason on my part. Hopefully someone else has some hints/tips?
