Current mailing list configuration causes DKIM failures
by Ralph Seichter 16 Oct '16

This mailing list's configuration (prefix subjects with "[RCU]", append footer to message bodies) invalidates DKIM signatures. Could the list owners be convinced to turn the modifications off, please? -Ralph

feature request: set identity per recipient
by Jari Fredriksson 16 Oct '16

16 Oct '16

I don't know if this already is somehow possible, but would be very cool this. I have multiple identities, and for example mailing lists like this I use this iki.fi identity, because my primary identity has strick dkim/dmarc -policies which will cause fail when received from a mailing list of an email forwarding service (like iki.fi). -- jarif(a)iki.fi

Hi! It is interesting, but I doubt that my users want this solution. Whether there is a basic impossibility to save from a web application several files with one button how it is made, for example, in Thunderbird? --- Best regards, Vladimir Gorpenko > Date: Thu, 13 Oct 2016 12:19:18 +0200 > From: Daniel Rauer <rauer(a)bytemine.net> > To: Roundcube Users mailing list <users(a)lists.roundcube.net> > Subject: Re: [RCU] Save all > Message-ID: <155f5fbb-e473-9b10-d276-4984a921b139(a)bytemine.net> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252 > > Yes, there is: > https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/tree/master/plugins/zipdownload > > Bye, Daniel >

SMTP Error (550): Failed to add recipient ... Please turn on SMTP Authentication
by SipriusPT 14 Oct '16

14 Oct '16

Hello guys, After i install roundcubemail i tried to send a mail from it (to @gmail.com) but it seems that there is a problem with SMTP configuration, because when i try to send a mail i receive this message: SMTP Error (550): Failed to add recipient "XXX" (Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client. XXX (XXX.local) [XXX]:XXX is not permitted to relay through this server without authentication.). I can only send mails to emails in the ISP. There i have another domain, and i am able to send to send mails to that domain. I am using a OSX with server app. Mail is online and i have made this there: Provide mail for: <the domain after @> Authentication: Open Directory Relay outgoing mail through ISP: Check and inside i also had the <the domain after @> Anyone knows how can i solve this? =/ -- View this message in context: http://roundcube-webmail.10982.n7.nabble.com/SMTP-Error-550-Failed-to-add-r… Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Permissions in config.inc.php not ok

Hello guys, During installation i have found a problem where i dont have any clue on how to solve it, so i hope that you can help me with roundcube installation. Check config file defaults.inc.php: OK config.inc.php: NOT OK(Unable to read file. Did you create the config file?) Check if directories are writable Roundcube may need to write/save files into these directories /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/roundcubemail/temp/: NOT OK(not writeable for the webserver) /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/roundcubemail/logs/: NOT OK(not writeable for the webserver) Use chmod or chown to grant write privileges to the webserver Check DB config DSN (write): NOT OK(Could not read config file) Test filetype detection Fileinfo/mime_content_type configuration: OKMimetype to file extension mapping: OK Specs of my server who will have the mail service: - MAC OS X 10.9.5; How it is running: - Server app is running as root; - I am using the default folder for websites that came with the websites app of this MAC OS X; - I am using a user called X-Mac-Pro to copy paste and is in the same group of permissions of the root user. When i changed the default permissions on files, i changed both files permissions to 777 (both defaults.inc.php and config.inc.php) and defaults.inc.php continues OK except the config.inc.php. I notice that the main folder of the website was owned by a user called root and the subfolder roundcubemail was under another user, but both in the same group of privileges (admin) =/ This is how i have now privileges in those subfolders and folder: X-Mac-Pro:~ root# ls -l > /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/roundcubemail/config > total 128 > -rw-r--r--@ 1 root admin 164 28 Sep 20:30 .htaccess > -rw-r--r--@ 1 root admin 3983 28 Sep 20:30 config.inc.php.sample > -rw-r--r--@ 1 root admin 51625 28 Sep 20:30 defaults.inc.php -rw-r--r--@ > 1 root admin 2815 28 Sep 20:30 mimetypes.php > > X-Mac-Pro:~ root# ls -l > /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/roundcubemail/ > total 440 > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 1940 28 Sep 20:30 .htaccess > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 136602 28 Sep 20:30 CHANGELOG > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 9954 28 Sep 20:30 INSTALL > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 35147 28 Sep 20:30 LICENSE > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 3736 28 Sep 20:30 README.md > drwxr-xr-x@ 12 root admin 408 28 Sep 20:30 SQL > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 3403 28 Sep 20:30 UPGRADING > drwxr-xr-x@ 19 root admin 646 28 Sep 20:30 bin > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 1353 28 Sep 20:30 composer.json-dist > drwxr-xr-x@ 6 root admin 204 28 Sep 20:30 config > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 12412 28 Sep 20:30 index.php > drwxr-xr-x@ 9 root admin 306 28 Sep 20:30 installer > drwxr-xr-x@ 3 root admin 102 28 Sep 20:30 logs > drwxr-xr-x@ 35 root admin 1190 28 Sep 20:30 plugins > drwxr-xr-x@ 8 root admin 272 28 Sep 20:30 program > drwxr-xr-x@ 8 root admin 272 28 Sep 20:30 public_html > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 26 28 Sep 20:30 robots.txt > drwxr-xr-x@ 4 root admin 136 28 Sep 20:30 skins > drwxr-xr-x@ 3 root admin 102 28 Sep 20:30 temp > drwxr-xr-x@ 9 root admin 306 28 Sep 20:32 vend > > X-Mac-Pro:~ root# ls -l /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/ > total 304 > -rw-r--r--@ 1 gfe-tecserver admin 6148 11 Oct 10:32 .DS_Store > drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 68 23 Jun 2014 NetBoot > -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 102749 14 May 2014 Server.png > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.de > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/de.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.en > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/en.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.es > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/es.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.fr > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/fr.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.it > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/it.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.ja > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/ja.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.ko > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/ko.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 88 23 Jun 2014 default.html.nl > -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/nl.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 91 23 Jun 2014 > default.html.zh-CN -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/zh_CN.lproj/default.html > lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 91 23 Jun 2014 > default.html.zh-TW -> > /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/web/locales/zh_TW.lproj/default.html > -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 7782 23 Jun 2014 favicon.ico > -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 269 23 Jun 2014 info.php > drwxr-xr-x@ 22 root admin 748 28 Sep 20:32 roundcubemail X-Mac-Pro:~ root# ls -l > /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/roundcubemail/temp/ > total 8 > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 164 28 Sep 20:30 .htaccess > X-Mac-Pro:~ root# ls -l > /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/roundcubemail/logs/ > total 8 > -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 root admin 164 28 Sep 20:30 .htaccess What kind of privileges do you recommend or suggest? SMTP (localhost) authenticated fails
by Ramiro Alba 11 Oct '16

11 Oct '16

Hi all, I am setting up a new installation with RC-1.2.2 on Ubuntu LTS 16.04 and I am having problems to send messages using authenticated SMTP on port 587. My config is: $config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://%h'; $config['smtp_port'] = 587; $config['smtp_user'] = '%u'; $config['smtp_pass'] = '%p'; $config['smtp_auth_type'] = 'PLAIN'; When trying to send a message I get an 'SMTP Error: Authentication failure' and also at the logs/errors: [07-Oct-2016 14:59:59 Europe/Madrid] ERROR: STARTTLS failed () [07-Oct-2016 14:59:59 Europe/Madrid] ERROR: Invalid response code received from server (-1) [07-Oct-2016 14:59:59 Europe/Madrid] ERROR: Failed to write to socket: unknown error () [07-Oct-2016 14:59:59 +0200]: <ra11q2ia> SMTP Error: Authentication failure: STARTTLS failed (Code: ) in /var/www/html/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube.php on line 1649 (POST /?_task=mail&_unlock=loading1475845198531&_lang=en_US&_framed=1&_action=send) Any other client (smartphone, python script, etc), both on localhost as remote node can send messages without errors. Also, the same configuration on RC-1.1.3 and Ubuntu LTS 12.04 works smoothly. If I change configuration to not authenticated on port 25: $config['smtp_server'] = '%h'; $config['smtp_port'] = 25; $config['smtp_user'] = ''; $config['smtp_pass'] = ''; $config['smtp_auth_type'] = ''; messages will be sent without errors For my policy is interesting to connect localhost on submission port, as I can apply SMTP restrictions with postfix which I will not apply on 25 port connections. Has somebody some suggestions/ideas on this issue?

Problem with empty HMTL e-mails
by Webert de Souza Lima 30 Sep '16

30 Sep '16

Hi, I'm using roundcube version 1.2-rc and some e-mails are showing incorrectly, as shown here: http://imgur.com/YaZFGU2 Steps: 1. Click Create e-mail 2. Add receipt 3. Add subject 4. Click Send E-mail source-code: http://pastebin.com/TnN3UuGf This seems not to happen if I change to Simple Text instead of HTML. This seems not to happen if I write anything to the body of the e-mail. This happens often with e-mails that has attachments, despite of body having a text. On the e-mails list view, it always shows the message size as 1KB.

Update 1.2.2 and 1.1.6 released
by A.L.E.C 30 Sep '16

30 Sep '16

Dear subscribers We just published updates to both stable versions 1.2 and 1.1 delivering important bug fixes and again more improvements of the Enigma plugin introduced in version 1.2. Version 1.1.6 comes with cherry-picked fixes from the more recent version and improvements in contacts searching as well as a few localization fixes. See the full changelog in the wiki [1] and the selection for 1.1.6 on the release page [2]. Both versions are considered stable and we recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube with either of these versions. Download them from GitHub via https://roundcube.net/download. As usual, don’t forget to backup your data before updating! Best, Alec [1] https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/wiki/Changelog#release-122 [2] https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/releases/tag/1.1.6
