Resized Firefow window but not "writing area"
by barul 23 Jun '16

23 Jun '16

Hello, I just noticed that when I resize my Firefox window (for example if I make it half the size of my screen vertically), not all the fields are resized. The one where you write the mail keeps its normal size, while all the others are of correct size. Is it Firefox that doesn't work as it should? Thanks -- barul

Frame with the messages is scrolled to the top on message list update
by Dmitry Katsubo 20 Jun '16

20 Jun '16

Hello everyone, On my main Roundcube window I have list of messages, 100 per page, grouped by thread. When I read the messages one by one (I use arrow down key) I go far beyond the initial visible portion of messages so the view is scrolled to certain row. Then the automatic update of messages happens. After that the view is scrolled to the top, and the selected message is not visible anymore (one needs to scroll down for a while). That is very annoying as it interrupts the reading. Could it be improved so that if message list is refreshed, the scrolling position is preserved? I would say the following logic should be applied: Restore the scroll offset. If the selected message is in a viewport, do nothing. Otherwise scroll the view so that the selected message appears at the top – this situation may happen if a bulk of messages top the top of selected one are deleted. It could be that the selected message is deleted but I think there could be a "best effort" option here as well. Roundcube v1.2.0 -- With best regards, Dmitry

Address book setup
by Dmitry Katsubo 16 Jun '16

16 Jun '16

Dear all, I am trying to setup LDAP address book in Roundcube, till now without any success. I think I have setup the LDAP address book correctly, but the moment I open it, it shows blank persons' cards. Unfortunately nothing is logged into /var/log/roundcube/error. What I did wrong? $rcmail_config['ldap_public']['public'] = array( 'name' => 'Public LDAP Addressbook', 'hosts' => array('localhost'), 'port' => 389, 'user_specific' => false, 'base_dn' => 'cn=persons,cn=corporate', 'scope' => 'one', 'filter' => '(objectClass=inetOrgPerson)', 'groups' => array( 'base_dn' => '', 'filter' => '(objectClass=groupOfNames)', 'object_classes' => array("top", "groupOfNames"), ), ); -- With best regards, Dmitry

Dear community, I have difficulties in registering at roundcube forum [1]. More concrete, I haven't received the confirmation email (I've checked spam folder). I have tried two different emails and it didn't work. Unfortunately I don't know how to contact the administrator of the forum. [1] http://roundcubeforum.net/ -- With best regards, Dmitry

How to configure roundcube to relay mail
by John Tucker 08 Jun '16

08 Jun '16

Greetings, I have read the wiki and understand how to set the relay host, user id and user password but I have a question on how to identify an alternate port to use for mail relay. I would add/update the following to the config/config.inc.php file $config['smtp_server'] = ‘my.host.com <http://my.host.com/>:10025’; $config[‘smtp_user’] = 'userid’; $config[‘smtp_pass’] = ‘password’; or is there another 'smtp_port’ parameter or such? Thanks for the help. jt

Enigma shows and uses stale/old keys
by Jari Fredriksson 31 May '16

31 May '16

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I updated my pgp keys and gpg -K and gpg2 -K do show the keys correctly. Enigma, however, does not see or use the updated things in my keys. Does it have some kind of a cache somewhere? I restarted apache2 but that is all I did, and that did not help... Any ideas? - -- jarif(a)iki.fi -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iEYEARECAAYFAldMwTkACgkQKL4IzOyjSrbY+wCgpXoONG3xDEMWWTiNTVJOuswU FWQAniSEO7BebHMkz83sraVYCJMakHZu =tJqJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

confused about PGP
by Andreas Meyer 27 May '16

27 May '16

Hello! Just upgraded to Version 1.2 because of the enigma-plugin. It's great Roundcube supports PGP now! I enabled the plugin and importet a public key. When I write a mail to the owner of that key, I choose "encrypt" and when I send it, Roundcube asks for the public key of the sender. Shouldn't it ask for the key of the recipient? Kind regards Andreas

RCU 1.2 & Enigma (s/mime)
by Jari Fredriksson 23 May '16

23 May '16

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Nice! But... My posts contain a signed plain message wrapped with pgp stuff. I would love to have the signature sent as an separate mime part. I can see that enigma supports this format, at least when reading a message from some other. How to enable that in roundcube/enigma? - -- jarif.bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iEYEARECAAYFAldDQhsACgkQKL4IzOyjSrZGagCglkjnvecL0JaYmBFZPt8Jifv5 mFMAnA9OqrzJoqK3I2qMuMrmtXlpThWh =muLo -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Roundcube Webmail 1.2.0 released
by Thomas Bruederli 22 May '16

22 May '16

Dear subscribers Today we proudly announce the stable version 1.2.0 of Roundcube Webmail which is now available for download. It introduces new features since version 1.1 covering security and PGP encryption topics: - PHP7 compatibility - PGP encryption - Drag-n-drop attachments from mail preview to compose window - Mail messages searching with pre-defined date interval - Improved security measures to protect from brute-force attacks And of course plenty of small improvements and bug fixes. There wasn't much feedback on the 1.2-beta version and the release candidate which we consider a good sign. Some cleanup and stabilization of the Enigma plugin just happened for the now stable version. As already announced with the 1.2-beta release [1], PGP encryption comes in two flavors: client-side using the Mailvelope browser extension and server-side with the Enigma plugin using GnuPG on the server. Support with the Mailvelope browser plugin comes out of the box and is automatically enabled if the Mailvelope API is detected in a user’s browser. The Mailvelope documentation [2] explains how to enable it for your site. The features of the Enigma plugin, which comes with the release package and simply needs to be activated for your Roundcube installation are explained in Alec's blog post [3]. With the release of Roundcube 1.2.0, the previous stable release branches 1.0.x and 1.1.x will switch in to LTS low maintenance mode which means they will only receive important security updates but no longer any regular improvements from upstream. See the complete Changelog in our wiki [4] and download the new packages from https://roundcube.net/download. Roundcube 1.2.0 is considered stable and we recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube. As usual, don’t forget to backup your data before updating ;-) Best, Thomas [1] https://roundcube.net/news/2015/11/23/roundcube-webmail-1.2-beta-out-now [2] https://www.mailvelope.com/en/help#watchlist [3] https://kolabian.wordpress.com/2015/10/13/enigma-plugin-pgp-encryption/ [4] https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/wiki/Changelog
