debian jessie amd-64, roundcube 1.0.3, nginx, postfix, dovecot, mysql

im having a lot of difficulty getting RC to work in debian jessie and since there isn't a package in the repos ive come here for some much needed help in summary, what is the correct procedure to get all above talking to each other ? are there any other dovecot/postfix packages that are pre requisites ? what needs to be added to: /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf.ext ? /etc/dovecot/conf.d/auth-sql.conf.ext ? /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-auth.conf ? i have next to no experience with PHP but ive checked the options against /etc/php5/fpm/php.ini these are missing: - zend.ze1_compatibility_mode disabled - NA - suhosin.session.encrypt disabled - NA - magic_quotes_runtime disabled - NA - magic_quotes_sybase disabled - NA php has the required compiled in modules regarding nginx, ive not installed it from repos and it has many components disabled but it does support fast cgi, php-fpm, etc, and i can submit php web forms from the RC installer tests everything is ok except getting dovecot auth working after finishing the installer and going to login i can never complete login browser: "connection to storage server failed" mail.log dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts in 0 secs): no errors logged for nginx or roundcube

Redsleeve install, some modules missing

Redsleeve is the arm port of Centos 6. So I am installing from the tar from roundcube.net and the installer script reports that: Checking PHP extensions The following modules/extensions are /required/ to run Roundcube: DOM: NOT OK(Could be loaded. Please add in php.ini; See http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.dom.php) The next couple of extensions are /optional/ and recommended to get the best performance: FileInfo: OK Mcrypt: NOT AVAILABLE(See http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.mcrypt.php) Intl: NOT AVAILABLE(See http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.intl.php) I don't see in the manual what to add to php.ini. Please advise. I have tried to find mcrypt (yum install mcrypt libmcrypt), but these are not the mcrypt it seems to want. And I don't know were to find the intl.php. thank you

And more that I forget; I would like to blame my dyselxia, but other factors are at work here. I have extensive notes, and I come back to them 6 months later and spend a lot of time puzzling them out. Actually they DO tend to work.

Trying to download Roundcube

Over a year ago I did a test Roundcube install on Centos6. I am now building a Redsleeve6 (Centos on ARM) server. Given that the Centos repo is backdated on Roundcube, and the arm repo does not even have it, I have to go to the source and work from there. So I go to: http://roundcube.net/download/ and click on download complete (using firefox on Fedora20). I get the waiting on server for a while, and then nothing. No download started. Nothing. What is up? Or can someone give me a wget line that I can run directly from the arm (Cubietruck) server to get it where I need it anyway? thanks

Roundcube sieverules plugin -- cannot connect to sieve server

Hello, I'm trying to setup the sieverules plugin for roundcube.
