Hmm, the "README.md" in the complete download contains this amusing titbit: "ATTENTION
This is just a snapshot from the GIT repository and is **NOT A STABLE version of Roundcube**. It's not recommended to replace an existing installation of Roundcube with this version. Also using a separate database for this installation is highly recommended."
Looks like not only has no effort been made to fix the problem with updates breaking HTML messages but now they're just dumping the git slop as if it is a release.
I think I'll leave it alone for a while...
