The configuration is with your mailserver software. When someone
connects the first thing it does, after exchanging HELO or EHLO
greetings, is advertise its capabilities. Your server is advertising
cram-md5. so roundcube is using it. If your server cannot auth via
cram-md5, it should not advertise it.

so far, I can't fix the problem unless re-configure imap server, can I? I just thought if there was configuration to choose auth type for imap.
Anyway, I commented out a few lines about cram-md5 auth in 'program/lib/imap.inc' and it's working fine so far. I'll see if it's ok.

That will work fine for your webmail, I suppose, but I believe the larger point here is that if your mail server is advertising a capability that it does not provide, a lot of e-mail clients are going to have problems with it.
