Hi,
I'm using roundcube 0.3.1. Each time I click on a imap subfolder I see a complete new imap login process in my cyrus log. Is this normal behavior?
Thanks Marcus
Hi Marcus,
Yes, this a normal behavior and has been discussed a couple of times in the list. You may want to use imapproxy to improve this.
Here a quote of Stan Hoeppners post on September 14th 2010:
the only other thing you can do
on the RC box to possibly increase performance is install imapproxy, which will eliminate the constant log on/off cycles of this stateless web app.
cheers, ck

Hi Stan,
We use Roundcube with IMAPProxy talking to Cyrus. We get a roughly 10:1 ratio of connections reused vs. connections created when tracked over 30 days.
