Proposal: decentralize action>file mapping in index.php

To improve support for custom addons to RC I propose to move the current action-to-file-mapping (currently starting on index.php:214) to the actual action-directory. This allows for a customization to contain only a directory in '/program/steps/'. I see two possible options: * create a file 'mappings.inc' containing the exact switches that are currently in the index.php * validate a action by looking up the existence of '/program/steps/$_task/$_action.inc' I think the second option is best. pop3 protocol

Hello, my name is Junio Vitorino and i'm a brazillian develop and work with applications for websites, and i would like know if the Round Cube WebMail, will have support for POP3 Protocol, i know than the IMAP is a great protocol, more in my country (Brazil) the pop3 is more common. I would like congratulate them for this beautiful work, and say than if the Round Cube WebMail had support the pop3 protocol i only would use it in my works. New my congratulations. Blanks in message headers

If you don't set your smtp_server in main.inc.php and you are on *nix you'll run into problems with extra lines in your sent headers. Since roundcube uses the mail() function if you don't set smtp_server in main.inc.php, shouldn't it account for its environment and strip the "\r" from the sending headers? >From Ben Cooke on the php page on the mail() function: "Note that there is a big difference between the behavior of this function on Windows systems vs. UNIX systems. On Windows it delivers directly to an SMTP server, while on a UNIX system it uses a local command to hand off to the system's own MTA. The upshot of all this is that on a Windows system your message and headers must use the standard line endings \r\n as prescribed by the email specs. On a UNIX system the MTA's "sendmail" interface assumes that recieved data will use UNIX line endings and will turn any \n to \r\n, so you must supply only \n to mail() on a UNIX system to avoid the MTA hypercorrecting to \r\r\n. If you use plain old \n on a Windows system, some MTAs will get a little upset. qmail in particular will refuse outright to accept any message that has a lonely \n without an accompanying \r." --Jason

public ldap search features implemented

hi all, i've just committed some code enabling searching of public ldap servers from roundcube. there may be a delay until the code is available via the public sourceforge cvs servers, but it should be there in the next day or so. the ldap search button will not work until you have configured a public ldap server in the config/main.inc.php file. there is an example configuration for the Verisign directory in config/main.inc.php.dist. i'd appreciate some testing and bug hunting :-) also, the ldap icon in the addressbook page reflects my complete lack of artistic abilities - please, could someone with some skills replace it? cheers justin

RSS Support for RoundCube

After some hours I have completed a initial RSS feed-creator for Roundcube. It is a simple addon which gives you a RSS feed of your inbox. Current problems: * Mime-mail gave me a headache so I decided to skip that for now; resulting in strange HTML messages * RoundCube uses a double sessionID, the reason of which I still haven't found; but it results in being logged out if you request the RSS feed from another IP then where you started the session on. * The roundcube mail-cache is not being used; resulting in possible slow performance To try it: * download http://sjon.hortensius.net/projects/roundcubemail/rss.inc to your roundcubemail/program/steps/mail/ directory * add the following line to index.php:258 (just before the comment "kill compose entry from session") if ($_action=='rss') include('program/steps/mail/rss.inc'); That should do the trick; you can now browse to the following URL http://your.roundcube.url/?_auth=leave_existing&_task=mail&_action=rss Comments welcome :) Regards, Sjon

wierd bug to empty trash

if our users get over a certain number of messages in the trash, they won't delete when multiple messages are selected. You can Select All, then delete. Messages just repopulate the list. Fix: view a message in the trash and delete it from there. Then select all and delete. view another message and delete, then select all and delete. So you have to delete 1 message at a time in between mass deletes. Kinda wierd.

Mail recieved in gmail looks bad
