Release Candidate for version 1.3 available for download

Dear subscribers We proudly announce that the feature-complete release candidate for the next major version 1.3 of Roundcube webmail is now available for final testing. After dropping support for older browsers and PHP versions and adding some new features like the widescreen layout, the release candidate finalizes that work and also fixes two security issues (updates for stable versions will follow) plus adds improvements to the Managesieve and Enigma plugins. We also slightly polished the Larry theme to make it look a little less 2010 :-) Although the default theme still doesn’t work on mobile devices, a fully responsive skin is currently being worked on. As a reminder: if you’re installing the dependent package or run Roundcube directly from source, you now need to install the removed 3rd party javascript modules by executing the following install script: $ bin/install-jsdeps.sh With the upcoming stable release of 1.3.0 the old 1.x series will only receive important security fixes. As usual, see the complete Changelog in our wiki [1] and download the new packages from https://roundcube.net/download. Please note that this is a release candidate and we recommend to test it on a separate environment. And don’t forget to backup your data before installing it. Security updates 1.2.5, 1.1.9 and 1.0.11 released

Dear subscribers We just published updates to all stable versions 1.x delivering important bug fixes and improvements which we picked from the upstream branch. The updates primarily fix a recently discovered vulnerability in the virtualmin and sasl drivers of the password plugin (CVE-2017-8114). More details about this vulnerability will be published soon by the reporter. Security-wise the update is therefore only relevant for those installations of Roundcube using the password plugin with either one of these drivers. Roundcube Webmail 1.0.10 released

Dear subscribers We just recently published a security update to the LTS version 1.0. It contains some important fixes and improvements we backported from the master version. See the details in the release notes [1]. This release is considered stable and we recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube 1.0.x with this version if you're unable to upgrade to a more recent series. Enigma: Inline-PGP not decrypted when embedded in HTML

Hi, Thunderbird creates strange Inline-PGP messages when sending HTML. Updates 1.2.4 and 1.1.8 released

Automatic encryption of the response

Hi! I work with my plugin for s/mime encryption. Functions of encryption and decryption are independent. I would like to release the mode when the response to the encrypted letter is by default encrypted. How I can to transfer in RC information that the letter on which the response is written was encrypted from decryption plugin to encryption plugin? -- Best regards, Vladimir Gorpenko

Hello, I've been cobbling around with roundcube for a while now (I'm also the author of https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/pull/5565, which sadly I haven't really followed through with). I've now started my first "real" roundcube plugin, here: https://github.com/duk3luk3/roundcube-maintenance-banner I'd be happy to hear any feedback, especially if I'm missing some "best practices". new helper script for more secure password changing with chpasswd

Hi all, I updated roundcube on my new server to 1.3-beta and it worked like a charm, thanks for it. on this new server I tested the password plugin and was not pleased to allow the webserver to call "sudo chpasswd". After some investigation and testing I ended up with a new helper script to call change password via ssh using the provided and excelent expect-passwd method. Additionally I rewrote the chpasswd driver to provide the old password in a compatible way and extended it to pass error messages back to roundcube. Are you interested in my changes and whats the best way to send them for review? Directly delete messages in Junk

Hi all, over the years ive been getting more and more ‘complaints’ that roundcube “isnt directly deleting messages in Junk”. People seem to expect that that option means that spam email is simply directly discarded. Instead, it basically means “dont move messages to trash folder”. Anyone else ever get these questions? Is there possibly a better text for this option? Regards, Cor
