Problem with

I just wanted to mention that there seems to be something wrong with the roundcubemail-cvs-20060505 build currently available on the sourceforge site. The entire message list blanks out and the apache2 logs get the old PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent in Unknown on line 0 error message. I have tried with a few fresh copies, same results. roundcubemail- cvs-20060413 works fine, as does today's trunk. Incidentally, I got the trunk by using wget -m https://svn.roundcube.net/trunk/ It seems to work fine. Is something totally bunk about that method? -- Mark Edwards

Delay opening Folders settings

There is a 2-3 minute delay while waiting for the Folder settings tab to load. This happens regardless of whether the user has one folder or 50 folders. Contrary to bug reports, I have _not_ experienced any delay when reading from folders at login or other general usage. This only happens while opening the Folder settings tab. There is also no delay when making changes to the settings themselves. I have tailed the system.log on our Xserve (records authentication events) to see if there is any delay server-side. The authentication (presumably for rcmail_imap_init) happens immediately, so it appears to be something within the webserver or Roundcube. Anyone else experienced this? Please see this feature request: http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/ticket/1483889 I'd say that the lack of the Sieve filter manager is the only thing that prevents me from switching from Squirrelmail to Roundcube, even though the latter is a better webmail. -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/

MySQL

I was wondering how the MySQL 5 support is for RC? I'm currently using 4.1 and that works fine, but I've read that MySQL stops support for this release at the end of this year, so I will have to switch before then. Anyone already using MySQL with RC, and if so, does it work fine? Thanks. -- Regards, Erik

User-Agent mail header

Just a quick query on the use of the User-Agent mail header with RC. Which RFC is this from? I thought it was a HTTP header and User Defined Fields (X-$) were defined for mail in RFC822 which for some reason don't get a mention in RFC2822 which succeeds it. Deprecated? Is this the right header to use for identification of the software used to send the mail? I don't know much here, any info on this appreciated Chris

Patch: LDAP data

Hi everyone. I added an option to fetch the name and the mail address of a new user from a LDAP directory on his first login. Very usefull if you have a single mailserver for multiple domains. Another hello

Also wanted to say hi. I've become reinterested in RoundCube as a potentially simpler replacement for my home install of horde/imp. I'm not sure I'll have time to post useful patches, but I'll certainly be following this release and ongoing dev with interest. I have lots of enterprise PHP experience, if I get inspired, I'd love to help contribute. Just juggling the rest of my priorities as we all are. It's great to see the push starting for 0.2. I think there's room for some more RoundCube buzz in the community again. Thanks for your great work, let me know if there are particular ways I should explore helping out. -Will

New error in logs: Windows date support

Hi! I'm using the latest SVN of Roundcube on Windows with PHP5. I've started getting the following message in my errors log, it appears since about June 19th. There are 2 line variations: [13-Jul-2006 12:06:56] PHP Warning: date(): Windows does not support dates prior to midnight (00:00:00), January 1, 1970 in <snip>\program\include\main.inc on line 1523 [13-Jul-2006 12:06:56] PHP Warning: date(): Windows does not support dates prior to midnight (00:00:00), January 1, 1970 in <snip>\program\include\main.inc on line 1567 If this something that needs to be fixed, or just something I should set my error level to ignore?
