Addition to Ticket #1483843

Ticket #1483843 requests for a mass mark as read option. I would like to see this extended to mass flag/move option. It would be nice to select multiple mails and then move those to specific folder, as is possible with GMail and IlohaMail. For an individual mail this is already possible. I can add this to the existing ticket or create a new one, but I'm wondering what the best way for feature requests is. I see things asked for on the mailing list being implemented right away while some tickets are entered a long time ago. In a few weeks, I probably (hopely) have some more spare time left, which I want to spent on the RC when required. I would like to dig through the list of open tickets and see of some of them have been solved in the meantime. But maybe it is better to do this when a second beta is to be released. Is a date for a new beta release already planned? It would be nice for those users who don't use SVN to benefit from all the great improvements made over the passed few months. -- Regards, Erik

connecting to LDAP with bind_dn and password

Hello, I am new to this list and want to share the changes I have made to the rcube_ldap.inc to access our LDAP directory (bind to LDAp with a dedicated readonly user) I saw that there is a already a bind function but since I could not figure out how to use it ( i have only little programming skills) i have put the code directly into the connect function. Then try accessing the index, and you'll see an "errors" file in the logs directory. Also check your JavaScript Console for errors. Rich

Ticket #1443200 (Cannot login if INBOX is empty)

Could someone have a look at ticket 1443200? http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/ticket/1443200 It appears that the error message returned by BincIMAP when requesting an invalid range of messages (1:0) isn't handled properly. Courier also generates an error, but does not exhibit the same problem. I put a patch in the ticket that fixes it for me, although there could be a deeper issue, I added a simple sanity check that allows it to function as it should. I had it check for the case that is failing (1:0) but I suppose the more general case of the range n:m where n>m should also be tested. If the simple check could be committed, it would at least let that many more people use RC without wondering why it won't let certain users login... :) I have another BincIMAP issue, ticket #1483855, but it's much harder to solve. I'll see if there's any more I can do to help figure out how to best solve that one. Jim

Weird behavior with mass mail deletion

I would like to start with big cheer for all the great improvements over the past few days/week which have been submitted to the SVN. Occassionally this should be said in stead of only reporting bugs over this list ;-) I noticed some weird behavior when deleting 'mass' mail deletion. When the list of mails is spread out over multiple pages, go to last page, select all mails, delete them. Then mails are deleted, but an empty list is shown. It would be nicer to show the previous page of the list. Furthermore, the counter at the right bottom shows 'Messages 81 to 80 of 80'. Thus, the counter isn't update properly either. I cleaned up a few folders, after which I returned to my inbox where the counter now shows: 'Messages 81 to 2 of 2'. The 81 does not get update properly anymore. I've never noticed this before, so I don't know if it's got something to do with recent changes, or that this behavior has always been like this. -- mvg. Erik

If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. Drafts support

Hi all, I wanted to check the new drafts feature richs made for us. New labels/messages in Trunk

Hi everybody, Here's a little hint about localization files and new texts added with new functions. If you implement a new feature that uses localized texts you don't have to alter all the localization files. Just add the new labels and messages to the en_US version. This files will be loaded before the localized texts are merged over it. In that case, the English strings will be used if the localized version is missing. I opened a wiki page where all the new texts should be added: http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/wiki/Loc_Newlabels Before releasing a new version, all translators will be requested to update their files with the texts listed here.
