Search HOWTO?

I can't seem to figure out the syntax of the 'search' box. Is there a FAQ or HOWTO on this? If not, I would like to know the options, and how to run the search. Time in roundcube bugg0red?

Hi all, Sending email from roundcube appear to be send in the future in my config which is: Server -> GMT time Roundcube personal settings -> GMT+1 & Daylight savings = on (so at this time I should be GMT + 2, which is correct imo) when sending mails they appear to be send 1 hour in the future by the receiving clients. Possible bug w/ select all

Hi there! I updated this week to latest version and now encountered a problem with the "select all"-messages button. e. g. when I try to empty my junk folder, I click on select all and the delete button. Messages disappear but a javascript error is thrown: program/js/app.js Line 1244: last_selected_row has no properties Going back to my junk folder, the mails reappear and weren't deleted. Same behaviour if I "select all" and then like to move the messages. If I select messages with control or shift keys, everything works fine. Did anyone see the same behaviour? problems with creating ticket in RC trac

People I have a BUG with a patch that I want to submit and I can't get the ticket in the trac system. Even worst, I had a real hard time finding the link to add a new ticket. Help wasn't to helpfull. :-( Can someone give me a flow from after I logged in to the part where I have to add the report? php5 branch ?

Hi - I'm very impressed with roundcube and would like to suggest it as our replacement webbmail platform at work. Great project! I was wondering whether there is any interest in a PHP 5.1-only version of this software. I would be very willing to help port the software to PHP5, using exceptions, PDO, etc., since I will most probably be doing an in-depth code review anyway. Is there any interest in a PHP5-only branch? From a developer perspective, I think it makes for a significantly more debuggable & maintainable (and, in some ways, secure) codebase, but I understand there also are (a lot) of folks still running PHP4. (Not sure if many roundcube users are also running PHP4?) Regards - Hans

Folders bug?

Hi all, Do not know if to report this as bug or feature request. When creating a new email box on a ISP mail server usually the folders are created upon first mail or by the mail client. in this case only the inbox is created upon first mail before when using squirrelmail or thunderbird via imap the client would create the appropriate other boxes (drafts, trash and sent) roundcube does not do this yet, which leads to errors when writing new messages or deleting existing messages from new inboxes. Sorry to not post a patch right now I just noticed this and might come up with a patch later. rds, Michiel van den Berg

WAP Roundcube?

Hey all! I've been using linux for a few months now and I want to start getting more involved in working on open source projects. I figured the best way for me to get started would be to add an itch that needed to be sratched for me personally to something I'm already using. In any event, I'd like to contribute to roundcube. I've used it successfully a bunch of times and I just love its simplicity and its ease of setup. That being said, the one thing that I wish I could do with it is to check my email from my cell phone. Sort of in the spirit of m.gmail.com, I wanted to pass it on the developers and see what you think. I've included kind of a rough markup<http://growinguplinux.com/images/m_roundy.png>of an interface that I think I can build, less perhaps the grouping by conversation feature. Well at least I think I can. I've been going through the code and its complexity and depth are staggering IMHO. For some reason I thought simple interface = simple codebase. While the code is well commented and very, very eloquent, at this point its a bit above my knowledge of PHP & javascript. However, I'm not going to let that dishearten me. I'm down for a challenge. So I have a few questions for some of the devs on this list. 1. How modular is the interface? I've been going through the code and it seems like some HTML is hardwired into the program (but some of the code I'm having a hard time understanding). Is this the case? Is there an easy way to plug in an alternative interface besides a common web browser w/ajax support? Is something like this even possible with roundcube? 2. I've been looking at the wurfl <http://wurfl.sourceforge.net/php/>and wall <http://wall.laacz.lv/> and thought that it would be easy to build a WAP/HTML interface like a roundcube_wall_page() using these libraries and I'd like to give it a whirl but I'm still trying to figure out how the code is structured beyond the introductory info in the help file. 3. Is there any rudimentary docmentation or diagrams that help explain the system design from a higher level? Is there some sort of autodocumentation program that I can help build or get involved in until I understand this system better? Something that strips tags out of the code and automatically builds documentation or something? How about a developers guide? 4. What functions can I call that will allow me to: List all of the IMAP folders, get the messages from the IMAP server in some sort of organzied array, and basically just work with the IMAP stuff at a lower level. Is there a roundcube IMAP ilohamail wrapper class? If I'm not using the right language please correct me. This is a great, great open source product and I'd love to be able to contribute in some manner or fashion. Is anyone having a problem with the login screen? The fields are extremely large. I have try it on IE and Firefox, same results. Image attached (crossing fingers, so mailing list will that mangle it). Cheers, -- David

hi jamie, yes, i integrated roundcube into another application so that users could login to our larger app and check their email without logging in again. i sent in a patch at the time (can't remember whether that was just to the mailing list of if i also submitted it to roundcube's sourceforge page), but it wasn't integrated into roundcube proper. anyway, that was quite a long time ago and i'm sure it wouldn't apply cleanly to the current roundcube code. i'm happy to help you get this working though - i'll dig up the old patch and we can have a look at modifying it so it will apply to the current svn. cheers justin PS - i'm cc'ing this to the roundcube mailing list in case our discussion is useful for others Jamie Penner wrote: > > Hi Justin. Rich This looks excellent, thanks for your work. The only thing I thought was a little strange was when I save the draft, it works, but then it adds another sig to my current compose window. Just a small thing, but hey, great job, nice implementation, save message and I really like the auto-save feature, that could help me not lose some longer emails....
