I agree with some of the other folks on the list... RC looks very cool. I love the idea of having a modern alternative to squirrelmail, and it was easy to install (way to go!). I noticed though that it doesn't seem to display quite right in Safari... the text from one column (like Subject) spills over into the next column (like Sender). It's just a cosmetic thing but it's enough to make it hard to use. Are there are any plans to support Safari? If so that'd be way cool. Also, and I guess this has been mentioned before on this list, RC doesn't seem to handle folders with a large number of messages. I've got one with over 6000 messages, and when I click on it, it spins for a few seconds and then produces an error message ("...failed to open stream..."). If I leave it for a few minutes and then click on another folder, then it complains than "my session is invalid or expired". It would be nice if it just connected to the IMAP server again, instead of making me type in my username all over again. And while I'm on roll :-), let me concur with the suggestion to use a single-click- based UI. That would make a nicer user experience I think, and besides it's how I expected it to work because I'm used to Apple Mail. But so far it looks like a sweet program. Thanks guys! -g.

issue with setup/login

Good Evening! I setup roundcube on an apache 2.0.4x with php4 running on FreeBSD 4.11. i'm trying to log in, and i'm not getting any errors. there is no output what so ever, my logs don't even show anything. The error i get on the screen says your session is invalid or has expired. I cannot find any errors anywhere. Unforunately the webmail is not putting out any log files. I even have the main.inc.php set // system error reporting: 1 = log; 2 = report (not implemented yet), 4 = show, 8 = trace $rcmail_config['debug_level'] = 4; I've run out of ideas. IMAP SERVER OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS STARTTLS AUTH=LOGIN] localhost IMAP4rev1 2004.352 at Sat, 29 Oct 2005 00:30:49 -0400 (EDT) If anyone could help me i'd appreciate it. Install issue, "Your session is invalid or expired" and sqlite version

So when I try to login to roundcube I get a message saying that: "Your session is invalid or expired" What could cause this? (BTW, its very annoying that when I click on this message it disappears. Having to view the HTML source to copy the error text is annoying.) I'm running 10.4.2 Server which ships with sqlite3. I modified the config to be this: $rcmail_config['db_dsnw'] = 'sqlite://./sqlite.db?mode=0646' However when I use sqlite3 to inspect the database it appears that it was created using sqlite2. issues with database backends

Hi !! Some thoughs about database backends is some particular situations: cache -> maybe it will be better to store the cache data on some other sort of file based database (plain text file, dbm, sqlite ...) Session is invalid or expired

Hello, I have been trying to set up roundcube, and am still unable to log in. I went through the install procedure, and everything seemed to be ok. The first time I tried to log in it had a failure because I didn't enter my whole username (username(a)domain.com). The second time I tried to log in, there was a db error, as I didnt chmod the db file. Now whenever I log in it gives me an error "session is invalid or expired", and I am a bit stuck. I checked my cookies and can see the cookie that roundcube sets, so cookies are working. I tried restarting my webserver, restarting my browser, deleting the cookie and trying again, etc. I get the sameerror every time. I even tried to do it from opera even though you dont mention roundcube would support opera - same error. I'm sure it's a simple thing, but I can't figure it out on my own. Other php scripts work fine, and save my session ok. I'm wondering, could this be a problem to do with php5? Relevant stuffs: roundcube1021 apache2.0.54 php5.05 gentoo linux

If they are "virtual" users then the host would be the same for every user and there would be no need to alter the name of the IMAP machine for each user. Adam -----Original Message----- From: S. Cookie Problem - Followup

Bizarre Login Screen presented (\"\)

Hello, I'm having a very bizarre problem. I have checked and rechecked everything but for some reason I cannot get the page to get a proper login screen. Cookie Problem

Hi, I have been trying to log into this webmail client, with no luck so far (I have it installed locally on my XP bow, with Apache2, php5, and mysql). Now, the application is complaining that my browser does not accept cookies. Strange why it is doing this, because it was working fine earlier and I didn't change any browser setting. I have lowered all of my security setting in Internet Exploiter (to the absolute lowest) but it still complains (I know I am allowing cookies, because I can see cookies that have been set and I can access other sites that use cookies). I also tried the same thing in FireFox and it gives the same error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Brandon Simzer bsimzer(a)northernobjects.com
