Replies to HTML messages

I have set "Compose HTML messages" to "Never", because that is what I want. I'm a bit confused with regards to plain text replies to messages with a text/html and a text/plain part. Roundcube often (but not always) seems to quote the text/html part rather than the text/plain part. This often leads to really ugly replies/quotes with tons of useless/duplicated links at the end of the message (while the links within the message are sometimes being removed). See message attached. Is this intentional...? (Well, hopefully not) If replying to a HTML only message, Roundcube has of course no other choice than replying to the HTMl part. But in this case I'm still wondering why all links contained in the message are being duplicated at the end of the message with "[1]", "[2]" and so on, and sometimes even being removed within the message text (as can be seen with the attached message). It's a bit of an annoyance to remove these links at the end of the message and the "[1]", "[2]" etc. within the message text. Furthermore, the option "Compose HTML messages" has apparently four options now, the last one ("on forward or reply to HTML message") not being localized (yet?) Or is it a duplicate to "on reply to HTML message only"?. Last but not least, in very few and exceptional cases I'd indeed like to compose a HTML message when replying to a HTML message. Currently I see no other way than to change the option "Compose HTML messages", create the reply, and then reset "Compose HTML messages" back to "Never" (which I then sometimes forget, of course, and which is not too comfortable). Of course I can change the editor type AFTER clicking the reply button, but then all HTML tags of the quoted message are still lost. I currently have no good idea for a UI for this, but a function to reload the HTML part into the message editor (or to load the HTML part upfront after the user has - in which way ever - clearly stated that he exceptionally wants to create a HTML message) would just be great. Announcing: OpenPGP finally brought to Roundcube

Whazzup, I just released the beta of my plugin that implements OpenPGP into Roundcube through JavaScript by using the OpenPGP.js library. I'm estimating it'll take /at most/ one or two weeks to finalize the stable version. In the meantime we can handle the political discussions that this may stir up. In schema_upgrades branch I implemented a new method of upgrading database schema. Since now we'll store sql upgrade commands in separate file for each upgrade point. You can see the structure in SQL directory. We also add a new table 'system' where we store current schema version. There we have columns 'name' and 'value'. Where value is schema version number and name is a string with suffix "-version". For Roundcube core schema the key will be "roundcube-version". For plugins I propose to use <plugin_name>-plugin-version. There's also a new script bin/updatedb.sh which is used automatically by update.sh script and installer. The updatedb.sh script can be used also by hand e.g. to run plugins' schema updates. Sample usage: updatedb.sh --dir=../plugins/someplugin/SQL --version=0.9-beta \ --label=someplugin-plugin Argument --version is optional when upgrading from 0.9-beta or later version. Directory specified in --dir must have the same structure as core SQL directory. Schema version number is in format YYYYMMDDXX.sql. Where XX is a number of change in the same day, starting from 00. It is used only for sorting to execute changes in proper order. We'll apply this change before 0.9-rc. Sort order of special folders ignored in 0.9-git-master

A while ago, I changed the default sort order of the special folders in main.inc.php to (just because I'd like to have it this way): > $rcmail_config['default_folders'] = array('INBOX', 'Sent', 'Drafts', 'Trash', 'Junk'); This does work in 0.8.4. It also worked in 0.9-git-master, but it doesn't anymore. The first day when I realized this was Nov 13th. Any clue what the cause could be...? new hook request. allow plugins to control inline message parts

Hi, RC helpfully displays attached emails inline under the primary message. This is handy when people forward you emails as attachments. IMO it is not so handy with spam reports from SpamAssassin. These reports contain a summary of the message so I do not need to look at the original unless I really want to. My idea is to add a plugin hook into the rcmail_message_body function to allow plugins to prevent a message part from being displayed. This is similar to the message_part_get hook which lets plugins control attachment view/download. Phil

Release 0.9-beta ready for download

Dear friends of Roundcube We're proud to announce the beta release of the next major version 0.9. With this milestone we introduce some important changes under the hood as well as some nice and long-awaited features: * First of all, the Roundcube Framework. The core classes providing the strong base of Roundcube's functionality have been extracted and decoupled into a Framework package. They can be used individually in other open source projects looking for solid functionality around IMAP, SMTP, MIME-handling and more. * Another major change is the new database abstraction. In order to add support for SQLite3 the PEAR:MDB2 dependency was dropped and Roundcube now uses the native PHP Data Objects (PDO). ATTENTION: due a small lack in the MySQL PDO driver, this version of Roundcube requires PHP 5.3 when using the MySQL database. * Finally we also added some new features: - Download all attachments as zip archive (zip module required) - Render thumbnails for image attachments (imagemagick is recommended) - Compose and mail view in new windows (configurable in user settings) - Upload attachment files and contact photos with drag & drop - Forward multiple emails as attachments - Show contact photos in mail view - CSV import for contacts And of course plenty of small improvements and bug fixes. Import address book in LDIF format - solved

Hello all. Please find attachment and diffs with the possibility of importing an address book in ldif format. You can import books directly from Thunderbird! The file ldiftovcard.php is litte improved. It may be useful to someone. ALEC may be able to throw it into the main branch of the program.
