When trying to update from the last git to version 1.4 rc2, I get this message:
ERROR: Target installation already in version 1.4-git.
I don't know if it's the expected behavior and an update is impossible in that scenario. Maybe I should install from scratch? Or maybe I should report an incident?

This is expected. It prevents users from doing a mistake. I guess we could add --force option to the script to pass that version check, but I think this case is rare.

For now I will continue in git master, when the stable version comes out I will have to change using an Updating manually.
Yes it would be a good option for the script to allow the force option.
