Aborted sessions, lost server connections: browser issues...? (0.7.2)

Currently I'm following the thread "RoundCube session aborting" very attentively for one reason: It's the main show stopper why we can't finally kick Squirrel from our server yet. I'm using RC intensively (I do not even have a local mail client installed), and I had to face lots of aborted seesions and lost server connections during "normal" usage of RC, in the worst case even in the middle of composing a message (losing most of the already written text, as the "Automatically save draft every x minutes" function does sometimes also not work too reliable - in the beginning it's working, but after a while - I'm sometimes writing longer messages which may take an hour or more - it often seems just to quit it's job). I can't describe every single scenario here, as they are simply too many and hard to replicate. It happens just out of the blue, and you can't predict when. But: My impression in the meantime is that this might be an issue between RC and the browser (in my case IE8). And no hints such as "use FF" or the like, please, this wouldn't solve the problem. One interesting scenario that I had (and that's why I believe that it may be an RC<->Browser issue): After sending a message (from a new window, compose_newwindow 3.00 plugin installed, option activated), RC did not react at all anymore to any click or key after I tried to change from the INBOX to the Sent folder. After a while the error message "Request timed out!" was thrown. From this point on, RC was completely unusable. I'm skipping some details now: Even worse, I couldn't load the RC login page again. Entering the appropriate URL, IE8 did not even attempt to contact the server (no progress bar in the status bar seen at all), displayed a blank page, and said "Finished" or "Ready" in the lower left corner of the status bar (not sure how the term for the German term "Fertig" in an English version of IE is). Even more worse: I couldn't even load ANY web page of the domain in question anymore. So if your webmail URL is www.do.main/webmail/, and your home page is accessible under www.do.main/, even the latter one could not be loaded. BUT: Then, for the first time in my life and just for testing purposes, I used the "InPrivate" mode of IE8. What can I tell ... it worked instantly, I could load the RC login page and all other web pages of the same domain, could login into RC and work with it (while the still open parallel IE window in standard mode was still not attempting to contact the server). Sent messages not saved in Sent folder.

Hi, I am using roundcube with cyrus-imapd and messages sent from roundcube are not stored in the Sent folder. The messages are successfully sent with no error messages displayed. Messages sent from Thunderbird are saved to the Sent folder. Does anyone have a similar problem? Please help, I can't figure out whats causing this. Thanks. -- Amadou

Search body only? (0.7.2)

Am I missing something or is it indeed not possible in RC 0.7.2 to invoke a string search in the body (and ONLY in the body) of a message...? The available options I can see are "Subject", "From", "To", "Copy", "Bcc" and "Entire message" (the latter one apparently including all headers). Given these options and selecting the last one, a search for "priority" for instance results in thousands of (pretty useless) hits. That's not what a user would expect and may find helpful. Plugin show_additional_headers does not show all headers

We have show_additional_headers 1.0 installed and activated, but due to some reason it does for instance not show the headers "Content-Type" and "Content-Transfer-Encoding". It shows "User-Agent", "Mailer", "X-Newsreader" and the like, though. Is this deliberate? The string "content" does not even exist in show_additional_headers.php, so I can't find any exclusions. There is a version 1.1 available at http://trac.roundcube.net/browser/trunk/plugins/show_additional_headers?rev…, can this be safely used with RC 0.7.2? Looking at the comments at the beginning of this file, I see that an option exists to configure which headers should be shown: * Enable the plugin in config/main.inc.php and add your desired headers: * $rcmail_config['show_additional_headers'] = array('User-Agent'); Maybe you give it a try. -Martin

Automatically move the email read in a other folder when I exit

Hi All, Is there a plugin or a configuration that moves the emails that I just read in another folder when i exit from RQ ? My problem is that I using the Mbox file format of the incoming mail is growing enormously, and when it reaches 2 GB is not possible to add more emails. Thanks Marco

Address book not working

Subfolders problems with dovecot and mbox

Hi All, I can't create subfolders on my RQ server. On my RQ server I have installed dovecot 1.2.16 and I use MBOX format. I had set my dovecot so : namespace private { separator = . inbox = yes } and RQ config : $rcmail_config['imap_delimiter'] = "."; $rcmail_config['imap_ns_personal'] = null; $rcmail_config['imap_ns_other'] = null; $rcmail_config['imap_ns_shared'] = null; Here I tried to create a subfolder "aaaa" in the folder "aaaaaaaaa_test". Autosave issues in trunk (currently up to 6111)

Regarding the autosave failure/time-outs that several of us have reported, I have re-opened my ticket on this topic.
