Updates 0.8.1 and 0.7.3 released
by Thomas Bruederli 17 Aug '12

17 Aug '12

Aloha! As usual when a new stable release arrives, there are a few things that didn't make it into that. Therefore we just published an update release adding bug fixes, some minor feature improvements and, most important, two fixes for a recently reported XSS vulnerability in Roundcube's HTML message handling. At the same same time, we also pushed out a small update for the 0.7 series with some of the important fixes back-ported. That's for all of you who didn't dare to switch to the new and shiny 0.8 release series. See the complete Changelog at http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Changelog and download the new packages from http://roundcube.net/download. All the best, Thomas

too many connections
by Thomas Schober 15 Aug '12

15 Aug '12

Hi, i have the following problem. I encounter issues for connecting to the imap server. The message "Could not connect to IMAP server" is issued sometimes. I already wrote a ticket to my hoster and he said, that my client is opening too many connections to the imap server and so some of them get blocked. Is there a possibility in the roundcube configuration, where i can configure that only one connection is used ? Regards Thomas

Authentication failures on syslog
by Marcio Merlone 13 Aug '12

13 Aug '12

Hi folks, I am running roundcube 0.7 for some years now with only one issue: besides I can use roundcube without a (noticeable) problem it logs a lot of authentication failures on syslog. My dovecot installation uses pam over ldap (if that matters) as auth db, but it only happens when auth from RC, neither Thunderbird or SOGo behaves the same, so I assume this is a RC issue. Sample from syslog, keeps repeating on each action on roundcube: Aug 13 14:47:48 imap-server dovecot-auth: pam_unix(dovecot:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=dovecot ruser=foo.bar rhost=x.x.x.x user=foo.bar Aug 13 14:47:48 imap-server dovecot-auth: pam_unix(dovecot:session): session opened for user foo.bar by (uid=0) Aug 13 14:47:48 imap-server dovecot-auth: pam_unix(dovecot:session): session closed for user foo.bar Don't have a clue why this happens or where to start hunting the issue. Please be kind and help me where should I look for more info so I can fix this. Let me know if you need further info. I use latest roundcube 0.7.x on Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS both on webmail and imap server (they are on different hosts). Thanks in advance and best regards. -- *Marcio Merlone*

Re: [RCU] Which is the calendar plugin on the screenshots section?

Yes, that's what we are using too but I'm having problems accessing agendav with Safari 6 so I was looking for a more integrated solution. Thanks, Aleix. Thanks for your answers... I've been trying it today. It looks great and it integrates perfectly with RC. The one from MyRoundCube plugins has its own icons, I don't understand why, but as Sebastian says CalDav is a necessity. We'll keep waiting... Aleix. > Hi, > >>> Is this a new plugin? autologin from another page
by Juan Carlos Sanchez 08 Aug '12

08 Aug '12

Hello: Have found the autologon sample plugin. With little modification (remove localhost check) allows easily to login from another page. But I think it leaves RC open to CSRF attacks. Is anybody using a better approach for autologin? Using release 0.8-rc Thanks in advance. -- ------------------------------------------------------ Juan Carlos Sanchez Hernandez Responsable de Seguridad y Correo Electronico Servicio de Planificacion Informatica y Comunicaciones Universidad Politecnica de Madrid Rectorado Avda.
