RC Cookies

Is there any way that I can log into two different roundcube sessions simultaniously? Currently once I log in, if I open a new browser window and navigate to RC it uses the current sessions cookie. Using an incognito or private window in IE and Chrome works as desired but FF does not. Is there any way I can alter the code to accomplish this type of scenario in all browsers without the private windows? Thanks for your suggesions

Session cookies (as all cookies) should be limited to the path they are valid for. >From http://www.php.net/setcookie: "The path on the server in which the cookie will be available on. If set to '/', the cookie will be available within the entire domain. If set to '/foo/', the cookie will only be available within the /foo/ directory and all sub-directories such as /foo/bar/ of domain. The default value is the current directory that the cookie is being set in." The last sentence might be false or it just doesn't work. -Martin

500 Internal Server Error - Can't figure out why

Hey list, First, my setup: FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE AMD64 Apache/2.2.22 PHP 5.3.10 with Suhosin-Patch roundcube-0.7.1,1 postgresql-server-9.1.3 I installed roundcube from the FreeBSD ports. I ran the install script, went through the configuration, saved my configuration files to the proper locations. It ran the test page, and everything worked fine. I tried sending a test mail, testing the connection to my database (postgresql) and imap server (dovecot). Everything worked perfectly. Then when I finished and tried to access the main roundcube directory, apache is giving me a 500 error. I have found no error logs anywhere. Not in roundcube's logs/ dir, not in apache's error log (even with LogLevel at debug), and not in my php error log. I've browsed through the Wiki about the issue, it brought up the .htaccess files. I have 'AllowOverride None' on the entire filesystem, so apache should be completely ignoring the .htaccess files. It shouldn't even be stat()'ing them. I read each of the .htaccess files in the various dirs within roundcube and I put them in my apache config file. I prefer everything to be in there as opposed to using .htaccess. I have the applicable section of my apache file pasted below. In addition to that, I put some of the main settings into my main apache config, the ETags, DEFLATE, DefaultCharset, and those other settings. If anyone has any suggestions on where to start with this, I'd appreciate it. It's driving me nuts. multiple domain

I have multiple domain and users is using dropdown to choose their domain. Would it be possible to restrict users to a certain domain? I have 5 domains and I need to users to have restriction based on their domain. Could anyone send a procedure or a link on how I could do that?

Dear Experts, I see lot of error log entries: "Deprecated hook name. user_preferences -> preferences_list" It's an 'automatic_addressbook" plugin error, how can i repair? Gabor@Hungary

Roundcube 0.8-beta with new skin ready for testing

Hello folks With the just published version 0.8-beta we proudly release the all new user interface design of Roundcube, codename "Larry" out into the wild. It isn't enabled by default but you can easily enable and test the new look by setting $rcmail_config['skin'] = 'larry'; in your local config/main.inc.php file. Many thanks again to our volunteer designer at http://bueroflint.com for the great work! Some plugins may not yet provide templates and styles for the new skin, so expect certain things to appear broken. We hereby kindly invite all plugin developers to adapt their plugins to the new skin. Said that, we'd also like to mention that Internet Explorer 6 is no longer supported from this version on. Roundcube itself still works with IE6 but the new skin doesn't and we'll officially drop IE6 support anytime soon. It has just been around for too long... Beside the new UI, this version also contains some bugfixes and improvements (see http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Changelog) as well as some code refactorings. These can potentially break some plugins if they use calls to renamed or refactored functions. Please watch your logs and in case you should notice any errors, please report them to the according plugin developers. In addition to the technical and visual changes, starting with this release, Roundcube is now licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) Version 3 or later (with exceptions for skins & plugins) as we recently announced on our website: http://roundcube.net/license. Please note that this is a beta release and we recommend to test it in a separate environment. The new skin most likely requires some more CSS hacking until we're ready for the 0.8 stable release. poppassd hang

I'm using roundcube and poppassd as the plugin for the change password. It was running fine in CentOS 5.6 using poppassd rpm. However, in CentOS 6 there is no rpm yet so I compile it following the procedure on this site<http://netwinsite.com/poppassd/#Unix_Installation>. The problem is it doesn't quit after after the newpass. Password was successfully change but since it doesn't exit/quit, then the pid is stuck on the background resulting to passwd defunct process. User is confuse because there is error in roundcubemail but the password was change. Error might be result of the poppassd not exiting. Just wondering if someone from the list has manage to fix this issue or at least use a rpm for CentOS 6 or RHEL 6. TIA, Nelson

Migrating the mysql database

Hello! We are right now in the process of migrating the roundcube database from one server to another, which is not working as expected. The problems we are seeing after migration is a long timeout during login, and then a message saying that the session is incorrect or have timed out. What is the correct procedure of moving the database? Perhaps we can write a short note about it? I can do that, as long as I know the details. Thanks a lot! Per
