Pop3 Access?

Anyone writing a script or module to have add on pop3 accounts to be checked? or is something already available? If not I think i might endeavor on this journey. Cheers, Paul

Deleting files without Trash folder

I've had a couple of users complain about not being able to delete messages. The cause turns out to be that they don't have a Trash folder. The attached diff/patch avoids this by creating the Trash folder if it doesn't exist before moving a message into it. The only problem is that even though the Trash folder is created, it doesn't show up in the folders list until the whole folders list is refreshed. -- Jacob Brunson Department of Chemistry, BYU

Two quick questions..

I checked the archives and don't see much discussion of an API for roundcube, but by looking at the code I can see a logical flow that resembles an API :). Are there plans for API documentation in the future? I know it's hectic enough just pushing the code out, but having some good docs for when I'm hacking it would be nice! Also, I saw mention of a 'Quick Search'... Did anyone pick up that task? If not, I could probably tackle that. If so, is there a patch or related code on CVS yet? GPG/PGP Encryption

I noticed that support for GPG/PGP encryption was on the RoundCube roadmap as a planned feature. I, for one, think this would be an awesome feature to have in a webmail client. It does bring up some issues with storing private keys for signing purposes. I guess users would just have to trust their webmail provider with securing their private keys. One possibility would be to implement the feature in two phases: message encryption first since it relies on public keys only and then message signing which relies on private keys. This project is abandoned <http://freshmeat.net/projects/openpgpwebmail/> but might be able to be gutted and reused for the message encryption portion of the problem. It looks like it's under the GNU GPL just as RoundCube is so using code from it shouldn't be a problem. If I get some time I may try and see if I can graft some GPG/PGP features in to RoundCube. My initial idea would be to make these features dependent on GnuPG. Thoughts? -- Bradley Holt

hello, there is a RounCube, downloaded from CVS at 27th of january. we use hungarian localization, with hungarian characters. - if user make a folder with special chars, RC doesn't show it, just its numeric entity - if folder contains special char, but created earlier by another MUA, RC replaces by another non-special char. eg: original name was "Ősz" (it means "autumn"), RC shows it like this: "Psz" - if user wants to select all mails with "all" link, bottom of page, browser drops a JS error: 'this.select is not a function', source: ROOT/programs/js/app.js, line 1303. easy method to adding files?(read description, subject not clear)

Sorry I cant think of a short subject line to explain this. I am adding a web form that my users can use to submit requests to change their passwords. The form is a basic php mail script that delivers only to me. I have figured out how to add a button for it in the taskbar.html in the skins folder. However, I would also like to make it so that the new page is only accessible from inside Rouncube. In other projects I do, I have a "universal" authentication script. For every page I want to limit access to, I just simply do include('verify.php'); on that page and it verifies the session id of the user before displaying the page. I notice that in roundcube, all the session code is accessed by various functions and not just a simple include. Is there a way to extend the authenticated session to a file that is outside the coded framework of Roundcube? I just want to have my mail.php file sitting in the root directory of the Roundcube install and be able to access it when the user clicks on the icon in their webmail. Thanks, -Geuis

Attachment Upload Problem

We have installed Roundcube and love it -- but we are having an attachment problem. We cannot get attachments larger than 2MB to successfully upload to the compose message page. I know what you're thinking -- php.ini -- but both max_upload_filesize and post_max_size are both set to 64M. Apache of course was reloaded as well. The upload_tmp_dir is /tmp (linux system tmp directory, chmod 777 on that dir). I grepped the entire Roundcube install and there are no ini_set statements that would override the php.ini variables. This problem has been confirmed on 3 different servers/installations so we're stumped as to what is happening. Dennis

Allowing pre-defined input to be passed to the login form

Hi, I'm the mail administrator for bluehost.com. We've been recently looking around at webmail clients and stumbled on roundcube and we're totally impressed. We'd love to deploy roundcube for all of our 50,000 customers to be able to use, but there's a little bit holding us up: We'd like to be able to pass in pre-defined values to the login form; before we send them the link to roundcube, we already know their username and server fields. I'd like to be able to just pass those in via the URL, for example: http://mailsite/cube? _user=user(a)domain.org&_host=mail.domain.org I've edited the code so that it does this, but I was wondering if it would be possible for this to be integrated into roundcube. My proof of concept code is here: http://digiwano.org/rc.patch . One alternate solution I've been tossing around in my head is the possibility that the servername be automatically generated by looking at the email address. All domains that we host use the name mail.mydomain.com (where mydomain.com is the same as the domain in user(a)mydomain.com) for their mailservers.
