imap functions

Hello I'am a french developer. I realy like RounCube but it doesn't support POP ! I don't understant why you don't use the imap function of php (as imap_open() ...) I work to change it, it's hard because i start with php (since 1 year) ! I whant to do whith round cube as outlookExpress : A mail reader of all email acount in the same time with the folder list ! do you work do do somting else ? if you whant i can send you my work but i think it will not ne interesting for you because it isn't your goal ans it's dirty. please excuse my engligh !! Serious Bug in Roundcube headers (bcc)

I've been using Roundcube as my main web mail applicaition now for a few months. A couple of days ago I sent an email out to a list of recipients (about 20 friends), all in the BCC field, in order to prevent people from replying to everyone on the list. One reply I received was from someone asking why they could see everyone's email address in the BCC field. I've just upgraded to the latest CVS version (about 10 minutes ago), and tested again. It seems that RoundCube is including the BCC header as a regular header in the email and thus it's being sent to everyone. Fortunately I was just using the BCC header to control replies and it didn't really matter that others could see each others info. But this has the potential to cause some serious problems. Imagine emailing your girlfriend explaining how she's not being rational, and bccing a buddy cause it's so funny, and then she see's you'd bcced him! Not going to be a fun time! lol. My Config: Using PHP 4.3.10, on Apache 1.3. qmail is the smtp server, and RoundCube is configured to use smtp, not mail(). -- Dave

Feature request: interface for manually adding users

Hi! On my webhost (www.dreamhost.com), all email address that are created are assigned a randomly generated username (m########). As such, RoundCube doesn't work out-of-the-box for logins. You have to manually add users to the users table in the MySQL database giving it the correct username and alias. Being as I don't think there's any way to get it to auto-discover the real username and I'll have to add these users manually every time, would it be possible to get some sort of Admin interface that makes doing this easy inside of RoundCube? I could write one myself, but I'm not familiar with the codebase and am definitely couldn't integrate it that well into the design-scheme of the app. Any thoughts on that? Thanks! -Joel

I am on DreamHost and am having a heckuva time logging into RoundCube. I've tried every login/password combination I can think of but nothing will let me log in. I can use their SquirrelMail webmail just fine however. Has anyone had this problem on DreamHost?

Java port if roundcube

hello everyone! I am interested in a Java port of RoundCube. Since I am a Java programmer, I am looking for people how are interested in a Java port and, of course, other Java programmers who want to help. If someone knows a java-based webmail with usable code, let me know please. That might be labour saving :-) The goal is to create a mail system that can easily be integrated in Java homepages (CMS), using the advantages of java. regards, Tobias

Hello, I may do some change with the address book for my own usage. Is it done or should I contact the developer to ask him what's his plans on it. want to add php code in your templates? here's how open the folder roundcube/skins/default/includes open each html file in your favorite text editor and add <?PHP ?> as the very first line. save them as php files. for example header.html is saved as header.php next open the folder roundcube/skins/default/templates open each html file in your favorite text editor and add <?PHP ?> as the very first line. find all instances of <roundcube:include file= and change html to php for example: <roundcube:include file="/includes/links.html" /> becomes <roundcube:include file="/includes/links.php" /> in the file addressbook.html around line 32 find the line that reads: <roundcube:object name="addressframe" id="contact-frame" width="100%" height="100%" frameborder="0" src="/watermark.html" /> change watermark.html to read watermark.php save them as php files. for example addcontact.html is saved as addcontact.php open the file roundcube/skins/default/watermark.html add <?PHP ?> as the very first line. save watermark.html as watermark.php next open the file roundcube/program/include/main.inc around line 769 find the line that reads: return is_file("$skin_path/templates/$name.html"); change $name.html to $name.php around line 782 find the line that reads: $path = "$skin_path/templates/$name.html"; change $name.html to $name.php save and you're done!! open and run roundcube. everything looks the same and acts the same but now you have the ability to use php in your templates.

Taskbar png

In my testing, someone claimed that there wasn't enough contrast between some of the form elements and the background color. The user complained about "white on white", even though it is white on light gray. Anyway, so I started investigating what it would take to change the background color. Answer: not much, just a simple change of the css. However, with this change the nice taskbar in the upper right doesn't look so nice because it doesn't fade from white to the background color. So I created a png image (attached) that uses transparency instead of the gif that is currently there. Replacing the gif with the png has no downsides that I can see. It does add these benefits: * 25% smaller size * Ability to change the background without bad effects for browsers that support png transparency. To use the png you will need to drop the png in the skins/default/images/ directory and change the #taskbar definition in skins/default/common.css (around line 121) to use taskbar.png instead of the .gif version. RoundCube Themes/Skins

It seemed like the dev list was more appropriate for this then the user list, so here goes. Having done theme work in the past on a verity of applications I decided to give RoundCube a go. I very much enjoy using RoundCube webmail but was looking for a more playful look. I decided to take the popular Thunderbird theme "iCandy Jr." and use it to skin RoundCube. So far I have gotten a good response and wanted to share it with you. <a href="http://tenny.org/blog/installing-the-icandy-jr-theme-to-roundcube">Installing the icandy jr theme to RoundCube</a> With that said, I have looked at the product roadmap and seen that one item listed is "Complete customization with skins".
