Signature placement

Hi all, Tried the new Signature feature and noticed that when you reply to an email it puts the sig at the bottom below all the messages, should it not be at the top, where one(I) would create the reply? Or an option to have it appear on the top or bottom of the email.

Hi, on a sidenote, this discussion all runs into a "plugin/API" thread. I don't think any password changer should be part of roundcubemail per se, because there are too many different MTAs and too many ways people would like to see it implemented anyhow. Has anyone given a plugin-API some thought? Thanks, Till P.S. It can not be stressed enough, that you guys created a brilliant piece of software! :-)

is this a timeout error?

Some of my users complain RC times out, especially after they have been composing a large message and try to send it. Looking in the error log, is this message related to a timeout? "[08-Dec-2005 08:46:43] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /home/public_html/webmail/program/lib/imap.inc on line 105"

RC marks mail as read when $rcmail_config['enable_caching'] = FALSE;

In testing another change in the caching code, I switched this from TRUE to FALSE. When it was TRUE, the inbox was not setting messages as being read. When I turned off caching, it started working normally. Question about this though: it says when TRUE, cache messages & mailbox data in local database. permissions problem?

We've been getting problems when forwarding certain messages. Results in an error 406. I think I've tracked this to a problem with how RC is handling certain message headers, as I posted in another email. I'm also concerned about these errors in the logs, and I think they're related. It seems like RC is not able to create the temp folders it needs in the temp directory. I've set permissions on the temp folder and func.inc to 777 for testing purposes, but it still can't create the directory. Anyone have some ideas about this? Ok, going by the code: -------------------------------------------------- // get source code of a specific message and cache it function rcmail_message_source($uid) -------------------------------------------------- This code checks if its been cached, and if not pulls the headers and then checks if there is a messageID in the header. It does this from the cached copy if it already exists. -------------------------------------------------- if (!$cached) $headers = $IMAP->get_headers($uid); else $headers = &$cached; $message_id = $headers->messageID; -------------------------------------------------- I'm not sure how the sessionID is not unique enough. If its good enough to keep a concurrent session active, why is it not good enough for this purpose? Or, do a hash of the time, or something similar. I think the extra step here would be to somehow write the message_ID we create back to the cache. That way you guarantee each message cache has a unique identifier.

Roundcube Webmail Suggestion

First of all I'd like to say that this is by far the best free / open source webmail app ever created. I think when it's finishd it will be the definition of perfection in every way. Great work. I have a suggestion for a feature or set of features. Basically these would be relating to setting this up in a company Intranet environment. I'm quite keen for staff to use a webmail system like this rather than traditional email clients. One thing that would be really handy for this would be global address book entries; that is address book entries that are controlled centrally by an administrator and can not be modified or deleted by each user. There may also be other features that would benefit that form of deployment. I'd be happy to develope these features myself but would fear that future updates may clash with my changes. Cheers. Mail not mark as read

Hi, With the new version (200512xx), when you read a mail, send a response, when you have finished to send the new mail, you return to the inbox and the mail is not marked as read, it worked in the previous version(v0.1-20051021) Sorry for my english, it's not very good :-) -- Marc - SprintEx Tiger http://www.sprintex.org/
