CASifying roundcube and imap server
by Juan Carlos Sánchez 17 Feb '19

17 Feb '19

Hello: I'm trying to authenticate roundcube and imap server (dovecot) with Apereo CAS. I don't find any good guide and everything I have found is some years old. Has any of you done a recent integration with CAS and can share the details ? Reinald, No, no rsyslog! I'm looking for a native RC plugin, like the old "dblog" ;) -----Original Message----- From: Reindl Harald <h.reindl(a)thelounge.net> Sent: 16 de fevereiro de 2019 04:09 To: Roundcube Users mailing list <users(a)lists.roundcube.net>; Jorge Bastos <mysql.jorge(a)decimal.pt> Subject: Re: [RCU] "dblog" plugin or similar Am 15.02.19 um 22:15 schrieb Jorge Bastos: > In the past there was a plugin named "dblog" to save logs into the db. > > Is there anyother for nowadays versions for this work? normally spamassassin logs to syslog and for that there is rsyslog-mysql so i don't get why SA should have to know aboutlogging in that context at all

Using SHA256/512 for sql password format
by Robert Moskowitz 12 Feb '19

12 Feb '19

For my new server, I am finally moving away from MD5 for the password format. This is going to be a clean build. I do not see anything in the roundcubemail config that needs to specify the format. It seems that this is dovecots job? The only area of change is in the password change plugin. In: https://kaworu.ch/blog/2016/04/20/strong-crypt-scheme-with-dovecot-postfixa… It seems the only change I need is: $config['password_crypt_hash'] = 'shaxxx'; Where xxx is either 256 or 512. All the other changes are to support a format migration. thanks

Two Roundcube errors
by David Mehler 12 Feb '19

12 Feb '19

Hello, I've got two roundcube issues. The first is that my inbox shows I have 19853 messages, but later roundcube says that the mailbox is empty. After seeing this I hit the logout button to close out of roundcube, my browser is the latest google chrome and I got the below message: REQUEST CHECK FAILED For your protection, access to this resource is secured against CSRF. If you see this, you probably didn't log out before leaving the web application. Human interaction is now required to continue. The server is running Apache 2.4.38, Mysql 5.7.25, 7.3.2, with fcgi, and roundcube 1.3.8. The imap server is Dovecot 2.3.4. Suggestions welcome. Thanks. Dave.

Migrating mailserver roundcubemail going from v 1.0.3 to 1.1.12
by Robert Moskowitz 12 Feb '19

The question is has the mysql database definitions changed between these versions? Can I simply copy the mysql database file from the old server to the new server? Any thing I should watch out for if I do this for migration? thanks

Plugin repository not working?
by Boris Gulay 09 Feb '19

09 Feb '19

Hello! Looks like plugin repository is not working this year. All plugin updates starting from January are only visible in UI, no in JSON feed. And cannot be installed using composer. Just check latest JSON: https://plugins.roundcube.net/p/provider-latest$b35819e741aa804b3e3d7d86678… Only three plugins! It should contain mach more of them, updated January and February this year, including ident_switch. Can someone check it please?

Does someone have an idea why this might be happening and how I can fix it? Thanks :) Maria Lolo Ōsmos studio www.osmosstudio.com Braunschweiger Straße 22 12055 Neukölln

I did not provide that to the installer. I only provided the fqdn. The installer added the http:// I will remove that and try again. Well, now that I think about it. I may have done a cut and paste and picked up the http:// and just did not pay enough attention. This is more likely than the installer being wrong. Cutting and pasting is a good way to get things wrong... thanks for pointing out the obvious, Harald! As you may know, I often need a good jab with the obvious stick!
