I'm getting what looks like header type info at the top of the body of emails I send from using Roundcube, can I turn all this off so it doesn't appear ?? See below example : Date: Thu, 16 Mar 2006 0:01:55 +0000 From: <mailto:info@domain.co.uk> info(a)domain.co.uk Message-ID: <24998d0f04ce987302a1342d92520d1f@localhost> X-Sender: info@ <mailto:info@domain.co.uk> domain.co.uk Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Hi there, I have just installed RoundCube and configured everything. I have set up an IMAP accound and used Outlook to verify everything is working (including username and password). However, RoundCube keeps giving me a "Login failed" error. When I set logging to the trace (8) level, I do see: * CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION cp01 OK CAPABILITY completed Tried PLAIN: Resource id #31 once I hit the LOGIN button. Can anybody help me? Any hints? Where to start? Best regards Ralf

I'm having trouble with Roundcube reading my Maildir Setup
by Bryan Shelton 15 Mar '06

15 Mar '06

My mail server is postfix using mysql virtual delivery to a maildir structure. My imap server is dovecot. I installed Roundcube and got it working fine. I was able to read all the messages in my inbox. However, when I send new messages they don't show up right away, or sometimes at all. It's really strange. When I refresh Roundcube it will move the message from the new to the cur folder in the maildir directory, but will not display the new message. The message file gets marked as seen in the maildir structure as well. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. This is one of the most amazing web mail clients I have ever seen, I'd love to get it working. I'm currently using Horde. Thanks in advance, Cheer, Bryan Shelton

Identities and LDAP
by Chintan Zaveri 14 Mar '06

14 Mar '06

Hello All, Is it possible that the user who logs in for the first time needs not to create an identity and one is created for him automatically when he logs in for the first time? Since, if the user tries to compose a message without creating an identity the Sender field for email is empty. Also, I am not able to access LDAP contacts through the Address Book eventhough I have entered all fields. Here is an extract: $rcmail_config['ldap_public']['MD'] = array('hosts' => array('mail.mydomain.org'), 'port' => 636, 'base_dn' => 'dc=mydomain,dc=org', 'search_fields' => array('Email' => 'mail', 'Name' => 'cn'), 'name_field' => 'cn', 'mail_field' => 'mail', 'scope' => 'sub', 'fuzzy_search' => 1); Sincerely, Chintan.

New mail refreshing
by jeff 13 Mar '06

13 Mar '06

Hello, I love roundcube and am ready to deploy for my customers, but have a problem with mail message list refreshing after my inbox shows new mail. Like inbox(4), etc. If I click a different folder and then go back to inbox, it'll finally show the new messages. I've got the latest stable version running on a Fedora Core 3 server running latest postfix, dovecot, mysql and apache. I'm anxiously awaiting lists and other good features. I couldn't get to the archives. I get a Vi flytter! message. Buckeye Fan.

Setting the cache to false fixed my problem. What an amazing product! The older version wouldn't refresh the counts. On 3/10/06, Brady J. Frey <brady(a)dotfive.com> wrote: > Turning off the cache to false seems to have fixed it for me. Web forum for support?
by Geoffrey McCaleb 10 Mar '06

10 Mar '06

I last banged on about this last December if memory serves, but why exactly is there no support forums for Roundcube yet? I know the developers wish to keep the mailing list going for development threads, but surely we all agree that mailing lists are not the best vehicle for end user support? I know there was talk of setting up a wiki, but I haven't seen any sight of it yet. I am happy to setup and host a forum, as long as there is a consensus that it is needed. I have no desire to splinter the community though. Anyone else agree? Or is this being worked on separately? Cols in message list
by GunFro 09 Mar '06

09 Mar '06

Hi. The default is this: // these cols are shown in the message list // available cols are: subject, from, to, cc, replyto, date, size, encoding $rcmail_config['list_cols'] = array('subject', 'from', 'date', 'size'); I want some more, like this, added 'to'. $rcmail_config['list_cols'] = array('subject', 'from', 'to', 'date', 'size'); Works just fine BUT, when I look into 'Sent'..... subject is subject from is from to is date date is size size is empty Seems that the sent folder is 'hard coded' it does not look at the $rcmail_config['list_cols'] Hope that it will be fixed. Really hope a forum will be up soon. Thanks for a great 'program' //Gunnar

I have also tried them all. Cheers, -- David Collantes
