smtp with certificate validation
by Nuno Dias 16 Jun '18

16 Jun '18

Hi, In the smtp that I use in roundcubemail I have a self sign certificate and use the port 587 to send authenticated mail, my configuration in roundcubemail is $config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://mysmtp.hostname'; $config['smtp_port'] = 587; $config['smtp_conn_options'] = array( 'ssl' => array( 'verify_peer' => true, 'verify_peer_name' => false, 'verify_depth' => 5, 'cafile' => '/etc/pki/dovecot/certs/mycert', ), ); And this works, but I'm trying to change my self signed certificate to letsencrypt, I changed in my smtp to the new certificate and works (tested with a desktop client mail). In my roundcubemail I change the cafile to this 'cafile' => '/etc/letsencrypt/live/mysmtp.hostname/chain.pem', But doesn't work, when I try to send mail I have this error in logs ERROR: STARTTLS failed () ERROR: Invalid response code received from server (-1) ERROR: Invalid response code received from server (-1) SMTP Error: Authentication failure: STARTTLS failed (Code: ) in /usr/share/roundcubemail/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube.php on line 1673 (POST /?_task=mail&_unlock=loading1529146163891&_lang=en&_framed=1&_action=se nd) The only way that works is to disable verify_peer, is anyone using letsencrypt like this and has the same problem? Thanks, Nuno -- Nuno Dias <ndias(a)lip.pt> LIP

On this server I manage a few domain (<10); I would like to avoid sending message with a forget domain address (eg. I don't want that compromised mailbox can send mail with "xxxx(a)gmail.com", "xxxx(a)yandex.ru" and so on) How can I do this? Thank you!

Mail_Mime Envelope-To header
by Dominik Dehning 04 Jun '18

04 Jun '18

Hi everyone, currently I'm working on a plugin for Roundcube using some functions of Mail_Mime. At one point (Hook: message_before_send) I have to replace the recipient of the mail with another one, so I use $message->get(); $message->headers(array('To'=>implode(',', $recipients)), true); This code is doing well. But there still is the "Envelope-To"-Header which I can't replace like follows: $message->headers(array('To'=>implode(',', $recipients), 'Envelope-To'=>implode(',', $recipients)), true); Am I totally wrong? I'm just stuck with this. Can anyone help? Sincerely Dominik

hello I installed Roundcube's new version 1.3.4 from the previous version 1.2.4 the on a BlueOnyx server. Since then, I can't login at http://server/roundcube/, I get instead of the login form the error *DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!* Unable to connect to the database! Please contact your server-administrator. I am actually the server administrator with root access, but have no idea how to proceed here... Anybody knows how to fix/reconnect this MySQL database? Thank you and best regards _~_ '¿') `-´ Meaulnes Legler Zurich, Switzerland +41\0 44 260 16 60

by Fabian A. Santiago 09 May '18

Hello, I'm using: RCM 1.3.6 installed with website stable release package composer used to update all dependencies as per upgrade doc i'm trying to have one of my managesieve filters mark emails as read while also moving them to their specific folder. the moving part works great but RCM still lists them as new rather than read. I've tried applying filters: set flags add flags with both having 'Read' checked. but no luck. can someone help me? Thanks. -- Thanks, Fabian S. enigma plugin importing existing gpg key and signing
by David Mehler 24 Apr '18

24 Apr '18

Hello, I've got a user with a home directory and an existing gnupg2 setup, under /home/username/.gnupg. I am wanting to know if Roundcube's Enigma plugin (using v1.36), can import this gpg key as it is already exported and available on a public keyserver? Secondly, do I have to get separate S/MIME keys or will enigma handle mail signing with the existing gpg key? Thanks. Dave.

Roundcube login with username OR username@domain.com and merge them
by Daniel Santos 23 Apr '18

23 Apr '18

Hello List, I have a single domain mail server where I would like the users to be able to login with: user(a)domain.com or user I have successfully accomplished this by setting the virtual_mailbox_domains in postfix + $config['default_host'] in roundcube. However, depending on what username does the user uses 2 separate entries gets created for him in the DB with 2 settings. This is problematic because I would like to add automatic address collection, vacation and other things which then will be binded to 2 separate accounts, depending on which format does the user uses to login. *************************** 1. row *************************** user_id: 1 username: test mail_host: domain.com created: 2018-04-23 13:46:46 last_login: 2018-04-23 14:24:28 failed_login: NULL failed_login_counter: NULL language: en_US preferences: a:2:{s:11:"search_mods";a:4:{s:1:"*";a:2:{s:7:"subject";i:1;s:4:"from";i:1;}s:4:"Sent";a:2:{s:7:"subject";i:1;s:2:"to";i:1;}s:6:"Drafts";a:2:{s:7:"subject";i:1;s:2:"to";i:1;}s:5:"INBOX";a:1:{s:4:"text";i:1;}}s:11:"client_hash";s:16:"P8AYcIa0hrn5LiPp";} *************************** 2. row *************************** user_id: 2 username: test(a)domain.com mail_host: domain.com created: 2018-04-23 14:24:00 last_login: 2018-04-23 14:24:00 failed_login: NULL failed_login_counter: NULL language: en_US preferences: a:2:{s:11:"search_mods";a:3:{s:1:"*";a:2:{s:7:"subject";i:1;s:4:"from";i:1;}s:4:"Sent";a:2:{s:7:"subject";i:1;s:2:"to";i:1;}s:6:"Drafts";a:2:{s:7:"subject";i:1;s:2:"to";i:1;}}s:11:"client_hash";s:16:"aL4mNejbFMtvV1DE";} 2 rows in set (0.00 sec) Is there any possibility to merge these in the database automatically?

Reply to a list
by Nuno Dias 19 Apr '18

I have roundcubemail-1.3.6 and when I receive mail from a specific list the "reply list" option in the button reply is not visible, but in other mails from lists this option is visible. Can anyone tell me which tag in the header of the mail triggers this behaviour in roundcubemail? Thanks, Nuno -- Nuno Dias <ndias(a)lip.pt> LIP
