Release candidate for 0.5 out now

Hohoho folks, Our Christmas gift for 2010 is now available for download. We just published the release candidate package for the upcoming version 0.5 of Roundcube webmail. It's now feature-complete with a reworked user interface for the IMAP folder management and improved handling for mailing list headers. New version 0.5-beta released

Hello Roundcube users We're happy to announce that a new major release of Roundcube is now available for testing. As usual it contains many bugfixes (thanks to all the reporters and contributers) and brings more stability and speedup as well as some new features such as Internationalized Domain Name (IDNA) support, support for shared/global IMAP folders and support for SMTP Delivery Status Notifications. Plus some minor changes to the message list UI and many improvements under the hood. Download the 0.5-beta release now from http://roundcube.net/download and test it in your local environments. Any bug reports and suggestions for improvements are welcome. Along with the new features again new texts are waiting to be translated. All non-english natives are kindly requested to help us translate Roundcube. Go to http://translator.roundcube.net, select your language and fill in the missing labels and messages. Completed files can be posted to our dev mailing list. As you can see on the translator page, there are several translations with less than 50% completeness status. Bugfix release 0.4.2 out now

Hello again. As you might have heard, also the developers of Roundcube are just human beings and thus not always creating perfect and 100% bug free work. The last 0.4.1 release fixed many bugs but also introduced a quite annoying new one. That's why the next release follows just one week later. It fixes a few important bugs, especially the "Server Error" message when expanding/collapsing folders and it also updates some previously incomplete localization files. Please replace your 0.4.1 or even 0.4 installations with this new version. It can be downloaded from http://roundcube.net/download. We also provide a patch for those who have local modifications and don't want to replace all the files again. Update to 0.4.1 released

Hello folks This update release fixes the most important bugs of the 0.4 stable release such as the disappearing upload box or buggy SQL scripts. Further more support for format=flowed has been improved and some language files have been completed. When talking about languages, there are still plenty of our localizations which are not 100% complete, some of them are even less than 60%. Please visit http://translator.roundcube.net and send us your updated localization files. We recommend to update all existing Roundcube installations with this release. Version 0.4 (stable) released

Dear Roundcube users After the big new features in 0.4-beta this final release now completes the unfinished work and fixes bugs related to the new threaded message listing and address groups features. We also cleaned up the user interface and tried to make all UI elements more consistent. With this release the skins have been excluded from the GPL license terms (see README file). This allows you to choose whatever license you want for your custom skins and even opens the door for creating commercial skins. We recommend to update all existing Roundcube installations with this release. New version 0.4-beta released

Dear subscribers A new major release is now available for deep testing. With this version we fixed over 50 bugs and added new features like threaded message listing and contact groups support as well as many little improvements that make e-mail reading with Roundcube an even better experience. While it's still called a beta release we consider it to be stable enough for productive environments. However the new features may have some minor issues which we are happy to hear about. Therefore you should carefully read the UGRADING instructions and make sure you apply the according SQL statements from SQL/*.update.sql to your database. New nightly build released for testing

Dear subscribers For the upcoming version 0.4 of Roundcube Webmail we have done some refactoring of the backend code which improves both performance and reliability of the application. These changes now need to be well tested before we continue to implement the new features like threaded message listing planned for 0.4. This is where we need your help! Please download the latest nightly build (r3325) from http://nightly.roundcube.net/ and install it in parallel to your running systems. Test it with your configuration and all the different IMAP servers. Documentation for Roundcube skins

Dear subscribers We finally created a small documentation about Roundcube skins and the template system: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Doc_Skins It gives a short introduction to the concept of our skins and lists all templates which are necessary to create a complete and working frontend for Roundcube. On http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Doc_SkinML all supported special tags which can be used within skin templates are explained and you can also find a list of "content objects" which are available in the different templates. While we're still working on a public repository for plugins and skins you're welcome to publish your skins on a server of your choice and add a link here: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Skins_Repository Now get creative! Hi Roundcube users We're proud to announce the stable release of version 0.3 with the long-awaited plugin API. Now the doors are finally open to extend Roundcube's functionality and the integration in other web-based systems got much easier. The package includes a default set of useful plugins as well as some sample code. An introduction to plugin development can be found on our wiki [1]. This release also includes some more bug fixes especially fixes and improvements of the LDAP support. Get all the details from the Changelog [2].
